Angeles was a practicing attorney, a member of both the New York and California Bars. He clerked for The Honorable William Hughes Mulligan (1918-1996) of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. District Court Judge James Foley in the Northern District of New York. He practiced law with Donavan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine in New York City and Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP in Albany, New York before moving to California in 1982.
