There's a killer in Riverdale, and it looks like they're going after the person who played Barb in Stranger Things! That's not completely surprising considering actress Shannon Purser has appeared in the series prior to now, but it is a little shocking to see her appearance in the series last more than the couple episodes she was seen in Season 1.

Come on, Riverdale fans. There's no celebration without an investigation. Crime doesn't take a weekend off.
As much as I hoped for Betty and friends to enjoy the Homecoming festivities on Riverdale Season 1 Episode 11, they had work to do. The clock is ticking on the Jason Blossom mystery, and we need to find the killer.
"Chapter Eleven: To Riverdale and Back Again" is steering us toward the mystery's climax. Riverdale's first season so far has been a dark and addictive thrill ride, with the Jason Blossom crime anchoring the story. I'm hooked!
With only two more episodes left, Riverdale Season 1 Episode 11 pulled us back into the main story by focusing on the murder.
Ultimately, this is something we needed after a few distractions lately. The mystery is what hooked us in the first place. We need to prepare for the reveal at the season's end.

Is this a match made in dysfunctional heaven? There's some potential here.
Even if the reasons were less than true, Cheryl and Archie did get a bit cozy on Riverdale Season 1 Episode 9.
The two redheaded hotties make a cute couple. I'd ship it. (Yes, you can judge me for this later...)
The Blossoms may be a devious family, and "Chapter Nine: La Grande Illusion" highlighted this even further. They know how to manipulate people to get what they want. However, I always thought Cheryl was just misunderstood.
She's being judged and used by not only her family but the people around her. The Blossom family board were ready to tear her down. It's no wonder she's a bit eccentric.
Archie: Cheryl, you okay?
Cheryl: What did my dad say to you? That I'm a trainwreck? Jason was the golden boy, but me...people hate me, Archie. At school,...

The chance to perform on the big stage is calling out to Archie and Josie on Riverdale Season 1 Episode 6.
Riverdale's annual variety show is the perfect opportunity for Josie and the Pussycats to wow the crowd on their way to stardom. And for Archie to play his music to an audience for the first time. But will their big songs be a smashing success?
Check out the photos below from "Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!", which airs Thursday, March 2 on The CW.
And don't forget, you can watch Riverdale online via TV Fanatic to get caught up on past episodes.

The Jason Blossom memorial will be one to remember. Who says drama doesn't happen at the worst of times?
Things definitely went dark and dramatic on Riverdale Season 1 Episode 5.
Arguments, engagement twists And Cheryl effortlessly owning the room! The next town function will need to top this night. I loved it.
The feel of "Chapter Five: Heart of Darkness" was true to its name: This episode was darker compared to previous ones.
The lighting was more muted, the weather was mistier, and there was an uneasy undertone that worked for the plot in comparison to other offerings this season.
I particularly liked the scenes at Thornhill. The house had a gothic feel to it, and it reminded me of old horror movies. The editors and set designers wanted us to know it was an evil house.
Everything from the appearance of the cemetery to Cheryl's creepy nightmare highlighted this feeling.

New comic book Wednesday has come and gone. The dust at your local comic shop has settled. An eerie silence descends as you finish reading your last superhero book of the week. Now it's time for something a little more sinister. Welcome to Bagged and Boarded: comic reviews of the sick, spooky, twisted and terrifying! Kiss Me, Satan! No. 3 This issue finds our fine fiend Barnabas Black squaring off against hordes of undead and a bad guy named The Bone Wrangler. After a spirited fight between the undead and Barnabas (and the witches he's protecting) the crew flees to a remote cabin where The Eye of Fates demands everyone's attention. Bag it or board it up? This is a fast-paced, grisly, nasty comic that's full of attitude and has a lot of ambition. I love the spirit of this comic. It's dabbling in divinity, demonics, magic and witchcraft, and everyone...

Magic has entered Storybrooke. That was one of the main takeaways from a fascinating Once Upon a Time Season 1 finale, which left a smile on Regina's face and anticipation in the minds of viewers everywhere.
Is it September yet?!?
No. But it is time for our Round Table team of Jim Garner, Christine Orlando, Molly Harper and Nick McHatton to relive "A Land Without Magic." Won't you join them?
-------------------------------------------
What was your favorite scene in the season finale?
Jim: I loved, loved, loved, the dual fight scenes with Maleficent. First, I had no idea they were going to show her at all, but for Father and Daughter to both have to fight her was great. Then you add in the cuts back and forth and Jim was a very happy reviewer!
Christine: True love's kiss. I loved that they broke the curse with Emma kissing Henry because I didn't see that coming.

Nothing says "Archie & Friends" like big hair, fake tans, and... Wait, what?!
This July, Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica and the rest of the Riverdale gang embark on what could possibly be one of their most surreal adventures ever with a parody of — you guessed it — MTV's "The Jersey Shore." And while it's safe to assume the hot-tub hijinks will be toned down when the famous red-head and his crew star in their own beachfront reality show, one has to wonder what sort of situation Archie will get himself into this time around.
Heck, if the cover's any indication, the gang's already got their "Riverdale Shore" hair in full effect.
Oh, and over at Comics Continuum, there's an interview with writer Dan Parent about the upcoming "Riverdale Shore" issue. Here's an excerpt:
Question: On Jersey Shore they think tanning is important; is that something that Archie and the gang endorse?
Parent: In this story they do.

As if The Jersey Shore omnipresence wasn't annoying enough, now the MTV reality show is taking over a revered — to me anyway — pop culture icon: Archie comics. Come July, the Riverdale gang is heading to the Riverdale Shore, a debaucherous, Gtl-laden locale modeled after the Jersey Shore. In the issue, Archie and co. meet and mingle with their tanned counterparts, who also happen to be the cast of a fictional reality show, and soon the once-wholesome Riverdale crew want to be reality stars, too. In fact, they're so infatuated with the Riverdale Shore contingent that they get Jersey Shore-style makeovers...

Will Archie and Jughead be the new Optimus Prime and Megatron? Archie Comics Publications and CAA hope so. According to Variety, the two companies have signed a deal in the hopes of creating film and television franchises, reasoning that if it worked for Mattel and Hasbro, it'll work for Archie and Veronica.
Of course, Archie Comics isn't limited to just the redheaded teen and his wholesome pals. They also own Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats, Cosmo the Merry Martian, Super Duck, and Dotty and Ditto. It's not clear whether this deal would include the Archie characters that DC licensed as part of its Impact line (guys like The Black Hood, and The Comet) but I'm guessing that CAA's representation is limited only to their retro, in-need-of-an-update faces.
So, can Archie or Cosmo the Merry Martian become hot properties? Archie & Friends still gets a lot of love from comic book fans,...
