Dapper German character actor, on stage in Munich from 1924. Prolific on screen, both before and after World War II, often cast as officers, policemen or middle-ranking civil servants.
The actor Franz Arzdorf took regularly part in movies from the 30's.
His engagement was normally limited to support roles, yet he appeared in a multitude of well-known movies.
After 1945 he worked for DEFA ( state-owned film studio of the German Democratic Republic) and especially in DFF (East German Television) productions until the construction of the Berlin Wall prevented him from working for GDR television.
His activity for the film dropped off after the war.
