John Jacob Astor was born on July 13, 1864 in Rhinebeck, New York, USA. He was married to Madeleine Talmadge Force and Ava Willing. He died on April 15, 1912 in North Atlantic Ocean.
Astor had a miniature steam locomotive which he rode around his country estate, Ferncliff Farm. He had a small train station and a round house build for this steam engine.
