It’s that time of year again, when screens big and small rouse even the stoniest of hearts with their festive re-telling of Charles Dickens’ immortal tale A Christmas Carol. We were at a splendidly seasonal Picturehouse Central last night for the special screening of the latest BBC version, which stars Guy Pearce as Ebenezer Scrooge and Joe Alwyn as Bob Cratchit. A sterling cast abounds, and includes Stephen Graham, Andy Serkis, Vinette Robinson, Jason Flemyng, Tiarna Williams, Lenny Rush, Delroy Atkinson, and Billy Barratt. The adaptation is by Peaky Blinders’ Steven Knight and directed by Nick Murphy.
Colin Hart and Scott Davis were on the red carpet asking the questions.
A Christmas Carol will be shown on BBC One on the 19th of December, 2019. Here are the interviews.

Let’s all be honest for a moment: does anyone really want a Pirates of the Caribbean 5? I mean, On Stranger Tides was just Ok – I liked Penelope Cruz, but I don’t remember much else about it – but it hardly shivered the timbers, now did it? Not that anyone is asking us, though, as producer Jerry Bruckheimer is going to right ahead with Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales no matter what we say or do, so we might as well embrace it.
While filming has yet to begin on the latest franchise installment that featured the invigoration of Johnny Depp’s career, there are a few new additions to the star-heavy cast. Joining Depp and Javier Bardem are Adam Brown, Delroy Atkinson and Danny Kirane. You might not automatically recognize any of those names, but a brief search on Google informs us that Brown...
