Was a soldier in the U.S. Army in 1967, lending his voice talent to radio propaganda in a Quonset hut emblazoned "Phycholgical Warfare". One day he'd had enough, 'quit' the Army, went home and waited. Forthwith, he received an honorable discharge.
Grew up in Fresno, California.
Attended both Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and UCLA.
