Cirith Ungol have announced their sixth studio album, Dark Parade, arriving October 20th via Metal Blade. Lead single and album opener “Velocity (S.E.P.)” can be heard now.
The Cali vets are cult heroes among ’80s metal circles, and “Velocity (S.E.P.)” harnesses the band’s definitive power metal sound. Spiraling leads and melodic riffs lay the foundation, while frontman Tim Baker’s vocals echo ominously throughout all corners of the mix. It’s a surefire ripper with an air of evil, and as guitarist Jimmy Barraza explained, there are some specific musical quirks under the hood that are new to the Cirith Ungol formula.

Tonight it's full-contact karate with Jean Claude Van Damme and Kurt McKinney in the 1986 cult classic No Retreat, No Surrender.
McKinney plays Jason Stillwell, a young karate student and Bruce Lee fanatic who trains in his father's (Timothy D. Baker) dojo. One night after a training session, the dojo is visited by members of an organized crime syndicate. After refusing to join the organization, Jason's father has his leg broken by a Russian martial artist named Ivan Kraschinsky (Jean Claude Van Damme), a hired thug of the boss. Stillwell begins to train under the tutelage of a ghost Bruce Lee, yes a ghost, in an attempt to become a better fighter to seek revenge against Kraschinsky.
