Krapopolis could spawn Fox’s next iconic animated figure to sit alongside Homer Simpson, Bob Belcher and Peter Griffin, according to the network’s President of Scripted Programming Michael Thorn.
Dan Harmon’s show has been handed an unprecedented season three renewal prior to airing a single episode and been pushed back to the 2023-24 season, news revealed yesterday afternoon by Deadline. Fox is in London this week shopping the title to international buyers.
Speaking to Deadline prior to a Krapopolis screening, Michael Thorn said his team had “found the voice of the characters, concept and comedy exceptionally quickly.”
“We’re so bullish about the work that we want to support and its ability to find an audience and succeed,” said Thorn. “While [a third season order] is atypical, it was a no-brainer for us with Krapopolis.”

2022 saw the return of theatrical cinema. From "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and "Avatar: The Way of Water" to "The Batman" and "The Fabelmans," the message Hollywood wanted to send was loud and clear: movies are back and they're really, really good. Among these many wonderful entries into the universal film catalogue was "The Bob's Burgers Movie," which cashed in on every ounce of the TV series' charm to deliver one of the many phenomenal animated stories that 2022 had to offer.
Created by Loren Bouchard and co-written by Bouchard and Nora Smith, "The Bob's Burgers Movie" saw almost the entire main voice cast of the TV series return for the silver screen, including H. Jon Benjamin, who voices Bob Belcher, the titular restaurateur and exhausted patriarch of the Belcher family. Interestingly, while the movie sounded the same to audiences, if not more musical, it was an entirely different experience for...

2017-10-04T12:37:59-07:00'Bob's Burgers' Movie Coming in 2020
Bob's Burgers has been one of the bright spots on the Fox network schedule since 2011, and the series began its eighth season at the beginning of this month. It's been nominated for seven consecutive Emmys for best animated series, and it's won the award twice. That's all good news for fans of the show, but the best news ever broke this week when it was revealed that Fox is developing a feature-length movie based on the series. We don't know much about the project yet, except that it's due out in the summer of 2020.

Fox's beloved animated series Bob's Burgers will stretch itself out for a feature-length film slated to arrive July 2020.

20th Century Fox has announced that they are developing a feature film based on their hilarious animated series Bob’s Burgers. I honestly never thought that a Bob's Burgers movie would ever even be a thing, but it's coming! The studio even says it will be released on July 17, 2020. Series creator Loren Bouchard had this to say in a statement:
"We’re thrilled to be invited to bring Bob’s Burgers to the big screen. We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show. We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever so slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s – but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: Who is your favorite voice actor for animated characters on TV? Why?
Dave Trumbore (@DrClawMD), Collider
My knee-jerk reaction was either Kevin Conroy or Mark Hamill for their roles as Batman/Bruce Wayne and The Joker, respectively, because “Batman: The Animated Series” is always on my mind. But thinking a moment more, my favorite voice actor (and arguably the best in the biz) is Frank Welker.

His name might not be a household one, but with over 800 credits and nearly 50 years in the industry, Welker’s voice definitely is.

Although its ratings fell yet again last year, the Bob's Burgers TV show wasn't cancelled. It was safe, largely because it was already renewed through season eight, but also because so many more expensive Fox comedies and dramas earned even worse numbers. This year, fans don't have the luxury of knowing its status at the start of the eighth season. Will Bob's Burgers be cancelled or renewed for season nine? We'll have to wait and see, so stay tuned. Not only is Fox’s new poster for “Bob’s Burgers” entertaining, but it’s also educational.
The one-sheet, which Fox will pass out to fans this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, features the Belcher clan – Bob, Linda, and children Tina, Gene, and Louise – as they share a tale of “What Happens Inside You When You Eat a Burger.”
All stuff you probably learned in middle school biology. But “Bob’s Burgers” lays it all out for you in an easy-to-understand body map – from the esophagus and stomach, to the intestines and anus. And yes, you also get to learn about the “bottom burger.” Who’s hungry?

In the sixth season finale of “Bob’s Burgers,” Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) prepares for a big interview with Coasters Magazine that is set to put his restaurant on the map. Unfortunately, his kids Louise (Kristen Schaal), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Tina (Dan Mintz) are causing a ruckus with their long-running “goop war,” where someone tricks another into feeling a goop-like substance. Bob accidentally gets caught in their goop war when he finds himself glued to the toilet, a Louise prank meant for Gene, mere hours before the Coasters Magazine people come. While his family and friends try to pull him off, he ends up singing a musical duet with Louise, who feels guilty for accidentally gluing her father to the toilet, called “Bad Stuff Happens In The Bathroom.”

Brock Baker is truly the man of a kajillion voices. Over the past few months he’s been posting videos of himself doing voice impressions of classic cartoon characters, and he does a pretty damn good job! He also does celebrity impressions and has posted a few other fun videos in which he has fun playing with his talent.
I’ve included three videos of him doing various voice impression of some of our favorite cartoon characters, like Spongebob Squarepants, The Joker, Roger Rabbit, Krusty the Clown, and Wakko Warner. I’ve also included a fourth video that is completely dedicated to characters from the 1990s Nickelodeon series.
I’m pretty impressed with how spot on a lot of these voices are. I think you’ll get a kick out of it, so check out the videos below!

The internet is a wonderful place, where an idea as silly as drawing the "Game of Thrones" characters in the style of the "Bob's Burgers" characters is not only possible, but somehow incredibly awesome, too.
That's just what Imgur artist CarlosDanger101 did, illustrating an impressive array of almost every single character from the sprawling world of Westeros as if they were employees at Bob Belcher's titular shop. In his post on the image-sharing website, the artist explained that it took him about a month to draw all the characters, and his attention to detail shows.
In addition to a large group picture, featuring all the characters mashed into one image, CarlosDanger101 also drew individual family portraits, including the different houses of Westeros. Bob’s Burgers, which will begin its sixth season this September, has an impressive pedigree when it comes to guest voices. 'Simpsons' & 'Family Guy' Crossover

Besides the ability to make great puns about hamburgers, Bob Belcher doesn’t have much going for him. His rent is high, his kids are rambunctious and insufferable, and something seems to go wrong every week. And yet, Bob faces the world with the same stoic cry: “Oh my god!”
The Huffington Post has collected all of Bob’s outbursts from Bob’s Burgers into one glorious supercut, and the range of emotion from H. Jon Benjamin is pretty incredible–he nails the subtle difference between the “I drank from a lizard’s butt” oh my god and the “we’re screwed,...

While most famous for voicing FX’s super spy, Sterling Archer, and Bob Belcher, the patriarch of Fox’s hilarious burger joint, there was a time when H. Jon Benjamin was a working actor taking bit parts on long-running series, like Rescue Me and Sex and the City.
Fans of Carrie Bradshaw and her gaggle of gals may remember when Benjamin briefly appeared on the third episode of season one but the actor reveals that he was supposed to have a much larger part on the show.
Two years after his original appearance, Benjamin was cast as Bill Kelley, an older politician with a golden shower fetish.
“I had hair and they made me bald,” Benjamin says of prepping for the role that later went to John Slattery from Mad Man. Only 34 at the time, Benjamin didn’t quite look the part that series creator Darren Star had envisioned.

No one can be blamed for quickly and emphatically stating their favorite animated program on television is "Archer," the spy comedy (well, former spies now) airing Monday nights on FX. But among the contenders out there for second place -- or first in the minds of many -- there lies a closely-affiliated comedy that at one point even crossed over with the FX series. "Bob's Burgers" has quietly built a much deserved and devout fan base through its three and half seasons. It's the "quietly" part we have a problem with, and thus we give you five reasons you should start watching "Bob's Burgers" right now. H. Jon Benjamin has the voice of 1,000 incredibly manly angels -- and knows how to use it. Do not be alarmed when you first hear the voice of Bob Belcher. Yes, it is the same voice as Sterling Archer. Yes, it's even the same...

2013 is only halfway done, but there’s a fair chance that, in a television context, it might well be looked back upon as the year any and all accepted rules of “quality television” became utterly meaningless and the promise of great things arrived in all shapes and sizes, from all directions. Consider Netflix’s House of Cards and the resurrected Arrested Development: existing properties, incredible casts, and a novel delivery method to boot. Consider HBO’s increasingly epic and brutal Game of Thrones and the way it’s managed to capture the zeitgeist despite firmly belonging to a long-derided genre. Consider the continued reign of FX’s animated spy comedy Archer, complete with the best rapid-fire humor on TV. Consider Mad Men, still relevant as it heads into its final season. Consider the wildly popular The Walking Dead and the long-form horror that is sure to follow in its wake.

In sifting through the many candidates for TV Parents of the Year, the first category for Vulture's Best of TV awards, I thought first about the Braverman family of Parenthood. Eh — it's a good show, certainly, but not that much good parenting actually occurred. How about the Kennish and Vasquez families on Switched at Birth? There was strong collaborative child-rearing between the two families, sure, but the kids (teen girls, switched at birth!) seemed more interesting than the parents. The Hecks on The Middle? The Granthams on Downton Abbey? Rufus Humphrey on Gossip Girl? No, no, and no. There was only one parenting duo that made its mark this past season in a way that allowed the whole family to enter the pantheon of great TV clans, and that couple is Linda and Bob Belcher from Bob's Burgers. It takes a special kind of parent to raise joyously weird kids,...

H. Jon Benjamin may not actually be an international super agent playboy with narcissistic personality disorder, but he sure knows how to sound like one on FX's animated cult favorite "Archer."
The comedian fielded questions during a conference call to promote the show's ongoing fourth season, which continues tonight with a strong episode involving Archer reluctantly bonding with his new stepfather, and addressed what it's like to be the voice of both Sterling Archer and "Bob's Burgers" patriarch Bob Belcher. Highlights of the call follow:
How do fans react when they realize you look nothing like Archer?
H. Jon Benjamin: There's been a bunch of people who have not done well to disguise their disappointment. You have a lot of people going "Oh, too bad." I think it's more shattering hopes.
What's the weirdest encounter you've had with an "Archer" fan?

Currently, out of the (what seems like) dozens of television shows I watch, I own a mere two on DVD. One is Lost, season five to be exact, part of my prize for winning an Oscar pool last year at a party thrown by a CBS intern. To date, I’ve seen something like a grand total of five episodes of the show due to an inherent bias I have which boils down to this: my sister likes it, which means it mustn’t be any good. That being said, having the fifth season of a show when I’ve not even finished the first will, over time, drive me mad, so I’ll get to it. Eventually.
Meanwhile, the other is Archer, seasons one and two, every episode of which I’ve already seen. In the case of some episodes, multiple times, having introduced my ex-girlfriend to both it and Breaking Bad,...

"Archer" returns to FX tonight and the first four episodes are, well, classic "Archer."
The season premiere, "Fugue and Riffs," premieres at 10 p.m. We took an advance look at the premiere and the next three episodes -- "The Wind Cries Mary," "Legs" and "Midnight Ron" -- to give you 10 teasers of what's to come. (In case you're not caught up, Season 3 of "Archer" is available on DVD right now -- it's worth checking out for a few storylines that come back in the new episodes.)
If you're worried about spoilers, stop reading now, but we tried not to spoil the fun.
1) You won't wait long for the "Bob's Burgers" crossover
Season 4 opens with the much-anticipated "Bob's Burgers" crossover, as Archer has a Jason Bourne-style case of amnesia and believes he's Bob Belcher from the Fox animated comedy. In case you're not aware of the connection: H. Jon Benjamin voices both Archer and Bob.

Fox has ordered a fourth season of animated comedy Bob's Burgers. The series - which features the voices of H Jon Benjamin (Archer) and Kristen Schaal (Flight of the Conchords) - will return for 22 more episodes, the network has confirmed. Bob's Burgers follows Bob Belcher (Benjamin), who runs his own burger joint with his wife and kids, but is lacking in customer service and business management skills. "We love Bob's," Fox's chairman of entertainment Kevin Reilly announced. "We are really proud of the way the show has grown over the past three seasons - without losing the unique voice at its core - and we know that (more)...

Fox has officially picked up animated comedy Bob's Burgers for a fourth season, which will consist of 22 episodes. The show, which received its first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program earlier this year, is two episodes into its third season, though the episodes currently airing are a part of the second season episode order. Therefore, the full-season order for a fourth production cycle assures that Bob's Burgers will be a part of the Fox Animation Domination line-up for a time to come.
Bob's Burgers follows Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin), the owner of a burger restaurant that he runs with his wife Linda (John Roberts) and children Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Louise (Kristen Schaal). The third season of the show will find the Belcher family celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas as only they know how, while featuring guest appearances from the likes of Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, Jeffrey Tambor,...

Sterling Archer is too awesome to contain on one show, even on one channel, so FX and Fox have cooked up a crossover between the most dangerous man on television and the grillmaster from Bob’s Burgers, Bob Belcher. Let me get this out first, full disclosure, I had never even heard of Bob’s Burgers until today, so while not the ultimate in crossovers like an Archer/Tick special for me would be personally, I’m sure it means something to someone, as Bob has garnered some Emmy play for Fox. Luckily for me, I think Archer makes everthing hot by mere association.
EW broke the word of the crossover, that will occur in Archer’s fourth season. This makes perfect sense to me because the FX platform allows for more room for damage that may not play as well at Fox (though please correct me if I’m wrong because as I said,...

Archer: Season 4 to Include a Bob's Burgers Crossover Episode
According to Entertainment Weekly, we're about to get a whole lot of H. Jon Benjamin in a fourth season episode of Archer. In addition to voicing the title character of the critically-acclaimed animated comedy, Benjamin will be bringing Bob Belcher to the land of Isis in a crossover episode with Fox's Bob's Burgers. For those who may not watch both, Benjamin voices Belcher as well as Archer, so get ready to be mind freaked in the best way possible.
But what type of plot could bring the two men together in the same place at the same time? And would it make sense?
Benjamin notes: “It’s like a Bourne Identity-type plotline. It starts off with Archer as Bob, making hamburgers, but he doesn’t know that he’s Archer. He’s at the restaurant and these, like, I think Russian thugs come in,...

Fans of animated comedy have known H. Jon Benjamin’s gruff deadpan since the days of Comedy Central’s Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist and, later, Adult Swim’s Home Movies. Lately, he’s been voicing the title characters to two of TV’s funniest cartoons, FX’s Archer and Fox’s Emmy-nominated Bob’s Burgers – and, soon enough, fans will get to watch him do both at once.
In an interview with EW, Benjamin revealed that the Archer team has produced a crossover episode in which he’ll play both Isis agent Sterling Archer and grillmaster Bob Belcher. The episode’s already been recorded,...

The Movie Pool takes a taste test of the first season of the animated comedy Bob's Burgers on DVD!
The Basics:
Family patriarch Bob Belcher has a simple dream; he merely wants to operate his very own burger joint, and make a decent living off of it. For Bob, this really shouldn't be that hard a task. Unfortunately, his very dysfunctional family seems to always get in the way of his dream. There's his wife, control freak Linda. His son, the hyperactive Gene. And his two daughters, the sex crazed Tina and the psychopathic Louise. No, operating a burger shop shouldn't be this hard. But for Bob...just getting through the day is a difficult task in and of itself.
Cast: H. Jon Benjamin, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, John Roberts, and Kristen Schaal
Created By: Loren Bouchard
The Delivery:
I'll admit it; when I first started watching Bob's Burgers, I was put off immediately.

The Fox network recently introduced another TV show to their Sunday night "Animation Domination" line-up, Bob's Burgers. How will this stack up against the other animated sitcoms? Will it be quickly renewed or end up being cancelled?
Bob's Burgers revolves around Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin), a third generation restaurateur who operates Bob's Burgers with the help of his wife and their three kids. He has big ideas about the food he serves but knows little about customer service and business management. Fox has long relied on animated shows to fill their Sunday night line-up, and apparently Seth MacFarlane can’t be the only source for them, so the network has turned to Loren Bouchard (Home Movies, Dr. Katz) to come up with a new creation. What he has given us is Bob’s Burgers, a slice of life comedy is more King of the Hill than it is Family Guy, but are audiences interested in this style of comedy? Hopefully so, because it’s a show that has a lot of humor, at least judging from the first episode.

Television Rating: 4.5/5.0
Bob Belcher (voice of H. Jon Benjamin of “Archer”) is the proprietor of the burger joint, set in a vague seaside resort town. Helping run his business is his entire family, wife Linda (John Roberts), children Gene (Eugene Mirman), Tina (Dan Mintz) and Louise (Kristen Schaal). Bob seems to have some trouble getting off the ground, as the restaurant is celebrating its Re-Re-Re-Re Grand Opening.
In the first episode it’s Labor Day weekend, one of the busiest times of the year, and Bob gives a pep talk to his family staff. Wife Linda is the ardent supporter, although she suspects Bob doesn’t pay enough attention to their marriage.

Fox will be adding a new animated series to its Sunday night line-up at 8:30 p.m. in the midseason (see Fox's full fall and midseason schedules) and we have a promo and three sneak peeks for you below.
Bob's Burgers is a new animated series about a man, his family and a burger joint.
A third-generation restaurateur, Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin, Family Guy, "Archer") runs Bob's Burgers with the help of his wife and their three kids. Bob has big ideas about burgers, condiments and sides, but only a few thoughts on customer service and business management. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves.
Even though business is slow, Bob gets to work with his family. His wife, Linda Belcher (John Roberts, "The Christmas Tree," "Jackie & Debra"), supports Bob's dream through thick and thin (but truth be told,...

As in most years, last season was a pretty good one for Fox, largely because of the declining "American Idol." It was also helped by the new darling hit "Glee" (although I know many people, myself included, have jumped off the bandwagon, and I predict a strong ratings dip next year), and that show has been rewarded with the precious post-Super Bowl spot next February. And while "Human Target" hasn't been a particularly strong critical or ratings boon, it's been a solid little piece of entertainment which the network saw fit to give a second season to.
Speaking of second seasons, Fox gave an uncharacteristic one to "Dollhouse" which was creatively intriguing and ratings deprived, so yet another Joss Whedon show is no more. "Brothers" and "Sons of Tucson" have now been officially canceled, although we knew that was coming for quite some time. So too has "The Wanda Sykes Show" been canceled,...
