The first season of the Peacock anthology series Dr. Death covered the true crime case of surgeon Christopher Duntsch for its first season, and for the second season it will be shifting its focus to the story of surgeon Paolo Macchiarini. Two weeks ago, it was announced that Edgar Ramirez (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) will be playing Macchiarini. Now Variety reports that Mandy Moore of This Is Us and 47 Meters Down will be taking on the role of investigative journalist Benita Alexander, “who falls in love with Ramirez’s Paolo Macchiarini before learning the truth about him.”
In Dr. Death season 2, we’ll find that Paolo Macchiarini is a charming surgeon, renowned for his innovative operations that earn him the nickname ‘Miracle Man.’ When investigative journalist Benita Alexander approaches him for a story, the line between personal and professional begins to blur, changing her life forever.

Few true stories are as harrowing, grisly, or baffling as the ones presented on Wondery's "Dr. Death" podcast. The hit series investigates the stories of fraudulent, overconfident, often manipulative medical professionals who seem to purposely and pathologically put their patients' lives at risk. The first season, about spine-maiming Dr. Christopher Duntsch, who's now serving life in prison, captured listeners' attention when it debuted in 2018 and went on to inspire the Peacock series of the same name.
But the other seasons of "Dr. Death" are just as disturbing, and now, the Critics Choice-nominated drama series is set to return as an anthology. The second season will tell another story fans of the Wondery podcast will be familiar with: that of Dr. Paolo Macchiarini. Here's everything we know so far about the second installment of the series about horrendous medical malpractice.

Thomas Schlamme will be stepping down as president of the DGA when the guild convenes its biennial convention on September 18. In a heartfelt farewell address to the DGA’s members, he looked back on his four years in office, and forward to new leadership as the industry emerges from the pandemic, which he, in no small part, helped get back on its feet.
“I will be stepping down at our upcoming Biennial Convention – and look forward to a new voice leading us,” he said in his farewell address, which was sent out to members and is on the DGA website. “And though this letter is a goodbye of sorts, more than anything it is filled with gratitude to this sacred institution of folks standing up for one another.”

The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 19
Walking from point to point on the map, looking for desperately needed food and supplies, all Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) have done is kill zombies and wear the leather off their shoes. At this point, The Walking Dead is also the walking living, as the two are without car, bicycle, cart, or horse. Every spot on the map marked by Maggie has been a dud, from the freshly burned-down house to the boarded-up mini-mart. Frustration is beginning to set in for Aaron, who is ready to head back home with empty hands. Two weeks of wandering around killing walkers and burning precious calories is a long time to be away from a city trying to rebuild after a war, but Gabriel insists upon one more.

And that's a wrap on The Walking Dead season ten — for now, at least.
From director Laura Belsey and writers Kevin Deiboldt and Julia Ruchman, "The Tower" was originally (and technically still) designed to serve as the penultimate episode of the AMC zombie drama's tenth season. The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the cancellation of four screen industry events, halted production on Netflix’s Clickbait and two major movies and postponed shooting of two TV reality shows.
Meaa members were informed today by the Clickbait producers there would be a two week hiatus due to general health concerns, nothing specific as no one associated with the production has contracted the virus.
Matchbox Pictures and Tony Ayres Productions told the union they will continue to closely monitor the situation and then reappraise to ensure the safety of cast and crew.
Ayres and Christian White co-created the Us-set, eight-episode thriller which began shooting in Melbourne in November, directed by Brad Anderson, Emma Freeman, Ben Young and Laura Belsey. Filming was due to wrap in April.
Filming of Fremantle/Seven Network’s Australia’s Got Talent and ITV Studios Australia’s/Nine Network’s The Voice has been postponed.

A Crisis is upon us. In just a few weeks, the biggest Arrowverse crossover to hit the multiverse will kick off and so The CW has now gotten to work promoting the event with teaser trailers and promo images. On top of that, the synopses for the five-part spectacular are being rolled out and today we have the description for the second hour of “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”
“Part Two” falls on an episode of Batwoman and it looks to be a key installment of the crossover. Following the opening hour assembling the core Arrowverse heroes, the second episode will then bring in the special guest stars. These include Kingdom Come Batman (legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy) and a “mysterious Kryptonian” – which either refers to Smallville‘s Tom Welling or Brandon Routh’s Kc Superman.
