“When you first come to Palm Beach, you think you’re the oldest and the richest. But then you realize you are the youngest and poorest.”
Everybody has goals. For new resident Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig), hers is to enter the world of Palm Beach high society circa 1969. She dreams of joining the Palm Royale, the most exclusive country club in the area. It’s the sort of exclusive place filled with swimming pools, galas and daytime martinis that feeds into the competitive charity season. It’s the time of year where the wealthy women in the area show off their wallets and organizational skills to vie for the coveted title of “Queen of the Season.”
All this just to be mentioned in the local society papers. After all, “At the Palm Royale, the more you gave, the more you got.”

Kaia Gerber showed off her amazing model’s body in a mini dress.
Being Cindy Crawford‘s daughter definitely gives you some amazing genetics and supermodel powers.
The American model and actress stunned in an amazing thigh-skimming dress while posing in a hotel hallway.
Gerber leaned against the wall wearing a tight black dress with modern cutouts on the top.
Of course, she had to show off her incredibly long legs as well, which is exactly what the black ankle-wrap heels helped to do.
She styled her hair in very light waves and didn’t accessorize this look with jewelry or a bag.

Rizzoli and Isles haven't solved a new case on TV in nearly six years.
While Tess Gerritsen continues to write new novels on the beloved duo, we've been left with a significant gap in our lives as their lives go on without us bearing witness on-screen.
The iconic duo of Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander were TV staples for over 100 episodes, but what are they (and the rest of the cast) doing now?
In Memorium: Lee Thompson Young -- Detective Barry Frost
Lee Thompson Young, who played Detective Frost (one of Jane Rizzoli's closest co-workers), tragically passed away in 2013 before the filming of Season Five.
Detective Frost's death got handled beautifully by the writers, from his death in Rizzoli and Isles Season 5 Episode 1 to Jane seeing a vision of him in Rizzoli and Isles Season 5 Episode 18.
The episodes throughout Season Five left us crying, laughing, and missing Lee Thompson Young's presence on our screens.

"You're not the bad guys, we are." Is anyone excited to see this? In the world of crime dramas, cops are often heroes.
The over-dedicated cop who takes the job super seriously is a common trope, and Olivia Benson personifies the archetype.
Olivia often rolls being a cop and a social worker into one job, caring for rape survivors and helping them deal with the violence they've experienced in addition to helping them get justice.
On Law & Order: Svu Season 18 Episode 14 Olivia outdoes herself, refusing to let someone with unlimited financial resources get away with rape, helping the young executive he preyed on to find the courage to testify against him.
None of this is a bad thing. Olivia is the kind of cop we all wish existed and maybe does exist somewhere or other.
And in the current political climate where the ultra-rich seem to be able to get away with everything and anything, it's refreshing to see someone whose net worth...

In its first 399 episodes, Law & Order: Svu unearthed some truly terrible moms. But the one it chronicled in the procedural’s milestone 400th (!) episode, which aired Wednesday, makes most of ’em seem like prancing lightweights.
“Motherly Love,” directed by series star Mariska Hargitay, starts when a 15-year-old boy named Luke comes back to his mother’s New York City brownstone to hear what sounds like his mom struggling in the kitchen. Fearing the worst, Luke grabs his hunting rifle and approaches, finding her bent over the island in the kitchen with a man behind her. When his mom yells that she’s being raped,...

Rizzoli & Isles: Summer Season Of Change, “Melt My Heart To Stone”

Angie Harmon, as Jane Rizzoli, manages to convey heartbreaking pain with a crack in her voice and lights up the precinct with her smile.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
I said in last week’s season premiere review that I’d like at least another episode of the Rizzoli & Isles fallout. I got my wish, and how brilliantly handled it was too.
One of the episodes main subplots was the return of Rizzoli’s father, Frankie Sr. (Chazz Palminteri) who we haven’t seen since Season 1. Being British, I’m not one for Americanisms, but geez, what a jerk. I haven’t a clue what the ins and outs of an annulment entail, but in this particular plotline it means that Frankie can marry his 28 (that’s Twenty-eight folks) year old partner. Sugardaddying aside (that’s younger than his kids) it completely severs all ties with mama Rizzoli (Lorraine Bracco) and in the process forces her to state that her children, Jane (Angie Harmon), Frankie (Jordan Bridges) and Tommy (Colin Egglesfield), were in fact not planned.

Rizzoli & Isles 3.02 Recap: Smart Women, Smart Mouths, Smart Phones
Rizzoli & Isles suffered a huge rift in their friendship in the season premiere, "Burning Down The House". In that episode, Jane (Angie Harmon) shoots Maura's biological father, crime lord Paddy Doyle in the line of duty.
In the follow-up episode "Dirty Little Secret", the women are still on a "curt courtesy with sniping" status. Local headlines exploit their rift with the headline, "Professional Frenemies? Cop Shoots Medical Examiner's Mob Father". Fate intervenes and sets the two on a course to solve the murder of a strangled yoga student and a body that has a skull fracture and a rash contracted from one of seven possible contaminated lakes in western Massachusetts.
Jane's tension at work is compounded by the tension in her home life. Her dad, Frank Sr., (Chazz Palmenteri) is divorcing Jane's mom, Angela, and wants Angela (Lorraine Bracco) to sign annulment papers.

Rizzoli & Isles Season 3 Premiere Review: The Girls Blast Their Way Into a New Season
Rizzoli & Isles blasted its way into its premiere of Season 3 with a .45 caliber punch. When a sting that has Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) going undercover goes awry, her best friend, Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon), is forced to shoot Maura's biological father, Boston mob boss, Paddy Doyle (John Doman). The cast and story run the gamut of emotions in exquisite style, making us laugh and cry in the same breath.
Alexander wrings every fear and hope of an adopted child seeking information from a biological and adoptive parents with haunting in her eyes and restrained expression that breaks your heart. Harmon's reactions to her perceived betrayal by love interest, federal agent Gabriel Dean (Billy Burke), reflects the pain of every speed bump felt in a relationship that has gone off course. Actor Beau Bridges' eight-year-old granddaughter is following in the family business - she's landed a guest role in crime drama series Rizzoli & Isles.
Bridges' son Jordan stars as Frankie Rizzoli, Jr., a police officer in Boston, Massachusetts, on the hit TV show, and he saw an opportunity to work with his little girl Lola in an upcoming episode.
He tells People magazine, "I saw the first draft of the script and it called for a girl who looked a bit like me and could potentially be my daughter."
But Jordan Bridges, 37, admits it wasn't easy keeping playful Lola focused on the job at hand.
He says, "She's outgoing and loves to perform. But this was a lesson that it's work. You can't be off chasing butterflies - which she did sometimes. There was a location with a pond, and she made herself a little fishing pole. When they call the actors to their places, you've got to move. And she was like, 'No! No! I've got to catch more fish.'"
Little Lola will have plenty of career advisors if she chooses to pursue a career in Hollywood when she's older - Jordan's uncle is Oscar winner Jeff Bridges.

Also producing are Graham Yost (Justified) and Robert Rodat (writer of Saving Private Ryan). Noah Sorota is scoring the show.
