Has two sons; Oscar (2005) and Leopold (2008) with wife Nicole.
Represented Manitoba in three Fast-pitch National Championships. Enjoys hockey, golf and football.

Performs as front-man Boss Logan (Songwriter, lead vocals, guitar) in original rock and roll act "Boss Logan", a character inspired by David's turn as Sheriff Larry Logan in "The Pinkertons".
Received Master of Fine Arts degree in 2017 from the University of Lethbridge.
