Trivia
Famous for her fantastic memory, she wrote two successful books of souvenirs: "Les Théâtres de Carton" and "Histoires de cinéma".
A close friend and favorite actress of Sacha Guitry, she acted a lot of roles in his plays and films, often as a maid.
Born in a bourgeois family, her engineer father was an assistant of baron Haussman, she mainly played working women who could have an acid tongue.
She had a 50 years relationship with Swis poet Jean Violette, born Frédéric-Jean von Gunten (1876-1964).
