Let me give you my thoughts about love. I tend to side with famous Irish poet Oscar Wilde, when he says, “Never love anyone who treats you like you’re ordinary.” This is the basis for any successful relationship between lovers, most importantly during the honeymoon phase. Love sure makes us do crazy things for the people we care for most. But what is that limitation of crazy? And how far can it get before the significant others realizes this and wants to cut the cord for good? Sadly, cutting the cord may mean dire consequences for those that wish to end it. Let’s put that to the test and revisit two star-crossed lovers which is something out of any teenage girl’s dreams. But what if that dream soon warps into a twisted tale of horrific obsession, stalking, and manipulation? We’re talking about 1996’s Fear which is...

Let’s not sugarcoat it — 2023 was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year for Hollywood.
For starters, obviously, there were the strikes, which for nearly five months turned backlots into ghost towns, costing the industry an estimated $6 billion in lost wages and other collateral economic damage. Then there were the layoffs, beginning at Disney and spreading like an apocalyptic virus to Paramount, Amazon, NBCUniversal, Lionsgate and beyond. Box office, although up a tick from 2022, still lagged far behind pre-pandemic grosses, with even superhero movies like The Marvels tanking. Streamers began pulling back on original content, the incredible shrinking broadcast TV audience continued to miniaturize itself, and there were new fears over the rise of the machines (you know, AI and whether it’ll soon replace your job) — all of which made Hollywood in 2023 feel a bit like one of those doomsday landscapes in Max’s end-of-the-world drama The Last of Us.

In early January, comedian Katt Williams went on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast and took aim at Cedric the Entertainer for stealing “my very best joke.” The bit in question — which involved a pantomime of driving with music blasting — was first performed by Katt in a 1998 appearance on ComicView, then reproduced by Cedric (according to Katt) for his set in Spike Lee’s The Original Kings of Comedy. Cedric called the accusations “revisionist history” on Instagram.
We’ve been down this road many times before. For much of the 20th century, joke stealing was an open secret. “All comedians steal from all comedians,” the legend Stan Laurel once mused. How many millions of records have you sold? If you're Jessica Simpson, that number is well over 20 million. If you're not Jessica Simpson — and you're not, like, Elton John or one of those guys from Aerosmith — that number is probably a heck of a lot less. At the turn of the century, thanks to hit singles like "I Wanna Love You Forever" and her reality TV series "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," Jessica Simpson was one of the most famous human beings in the entire world. And she's still really darned famous.
And like most singers who break into the popular zeitgeist, Simpson has also tried her hand at acting. She's probably best known on the big screen for playing the role of Daisy Duke in the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, or at least for her cover of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" from the soundtrack. Bob Barker, the legendary host of the daytime game show The Price is Right, is dead at 99. Barker famously hosted the enduring game show from 1972 to 2007, when he retired and was replaced by Drew Carey, who still hosts the show. Barker was indeed an icon, with a career in broadcasting that spanned generations, with him a vital presence on-screen for over fifty years. According to Deadline, he was just a few months shy of his 100th birthday. Many of us grew up watching Barker chat with contestants on the Price is Right. He’s a figure a whole lot of us associate with sick days, as whenever we had to stay home from school as kids, in the days before streaming, we’d inevitably end up watching The Price is Right (and Oprah) from our sick beds. Dane Cook even had an iconic routine about how invested you’d get...

Let's hope they have Plinko in the afterlife because the longest-running "The Price is Right" host, Bob Barker, has died at the age of 99. The news was first reported by ABC7. Barker hosted "The Price is Right" for over three decades -- from 1972 to 2007 -- asking contestants to come on down and try to guess the correct prices of items, ranging from groceries to huge prize packages like a cruise, a set of luggage, and a brand new car. On his watch, "The Price is Right" became the longest-running game show in North American history. And with its success, Barker became a household name, a comforting face, and a voice that was regularly on TV every weekday morning.
Barker began his career in radio before moving to the NBC television series "Truth or Consequences" as host in 1956, where he stayed for nearly 20 years. In 1972, after "The Price is Right" was...

Kate Hudson has once again addressed kissing her former co-stars, Matthew McConaughey and Billy Crudup.
The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery star has appeared in a handful of romcoms throughout her career, most notably How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days (2003) and Fool’s Gold (2008) opposite McConaughey and Almost Famous (2000) opposite Crudup.
Hudson has famously spoken numerous times about her on-screen kisses. Just last month, she explained why kissing McConaughey was “not that fun to shoot”. And even earlier, in 2020, she admitted that Crudup was a “good” kisser on Gwyneth Paltrow’s The goop Podcast in 2020.
“Can you tell me why you told Gwyneth Paltrow that this guy [Crudup] was a good kisser?” Hudson’s Glass Onion co-star Janelle Monáe asked on a new episode of Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test.

Although a name no longer heard often, Dane Cook was a favorite comedian for most, and the first favorite for some as Dane Cook and his comedy occupied the early 2000s until a little after 2010 when work from the comedian was slowed down almost entirely. Below, we’ve detailed Dane Cook, his brother, the betrayal that divided their relationship, and other information about Dane Cook

Good luck Scott. Scott Disick took to Instagram on April 20 to show off his time in Miami—while also seemingly addressing Sofia Richie's engagement to Elliot Grainge. Scott shared a photo of himself on a boat with the caption, "In the 305 just call me good luck chuck." The cheeky message seems to make reference at the movie Good Luck Chuck, a film in which all the women who get romantically involved with the character Charlie Kagan (played by Dane Cook) end up marrying the first person they date after Charlie. It at least seems like the lord had luck with winning over Instagram users, as fans fled to his comment section. One user wrote, "There's the Scott Disick we all know...

Words like “legendary,” “favorite,” “dominating” and “incredible” were part of the reactions online to news of actor William Hurt’s death today at 71. In most cases, it would be an exaggeration borne of an emotional moment, a way to honor a fallen presence with tributes that capture their feelings about someone who entertained them for a good portion of their lives.
William Hurt’s Film Career: A Photo Gallery
But as was clear from the tributes from his peers, there are no superlatives that could adequately convey how talented and impactful Hurt was during his long career in film and on stage. Those in his profession knew they were in the presence of a singular talent.
Some of the early reactions:

With Marvel Studios tackling the X-Men for the first time with the follow-up cartoon series to the 1990s version, it’s time we start talking about the return of comic-accurate costumes in live-action, yellow spandex, and all.
“It wasn’t like X-Men fans weren’t primed for those yellow spandex suits. Leading up to the movie’s debut, X-Men: The Animated Series was one of the most popular superheroes shows on TV, spawning an entire cinematic universe that included Spider-Man: The Animated Series, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, and The Silver Surfer. And yet, the movies practically pretended the show didn’t exist. That was kids’ stuff. This is serious.”

The simple answer to what happened to Dane Cook is that he fell into that roving hole known as ‘obscurity’ and has been attempting to climb his way back out of it for years now. How much a person really cares about Cook and his career varies since some people find the comedian genuinely funny, while others could never hear from him again and be just fine. But as of now, it does sound as though Cook has been attempting a comeback since back in 2019 he did go on tour, and it’s likely that he’s been attempting to keep

It’s safe to say that society as a whole has never talked about Kathryn Hahn more than they have during the past few weeks. Not when she was a series regular for six seasons on cable. Not when she was getting Oscar buzz for a critically adored Sundance drama. And certainly not when she was the lead of her own HBO series (which she also produced).
Thus is the power of “WandaVision” and the MCU at large. The fandom is so fierce, the viewership so broad, that virtually every actor — lead or supporting — gets their time to shine. After seven long weeks waiting for Hahn’s nosy neighbor Agnes to turn into something more, boy did she ever.
And Hahn delivered.
Of course, she always does. There is not a “bad” Kathryn Hahn performance out there. When polling the IndieWire staff for their favorite roles, some bad movies were tossed out,...
