- David started his career as rock drummer and played in several bands including "The Agency", a Texas-based outfit that has several feature and TV credits, including David's own film "Sweet Thing".
- Wrote music for "NBS" with composing partner William Tabanou with whom he shares several composing credits, including songs used in the TV show "The Shield" and several other features. NBS wrote and produced beats for David's film "Intoxicating" and featured artists such as "Coolio" and members of "Cypress Hill".
- Played Drums and Percussion with world artist "Krassimir" at the apex of his career in the states. The Artist played at the Kodak Theater, now the Dolby theater in 2006.
- 2008 - Mark David is the drummer in the studio band "Ultrarev" featured on the soundtrack of his film "American Cowslip". Among the members of Ultrarev (released only one album on Feudal records in 2010) is Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepard.
- In 2011 he began playing with "Westimer" with Singer/ Guitarist Gabriel Ordonez, formerly of "Seed" and "Billion Stars".
- David began his career as a Cinematographer in 1996. His first feature as a DP was the indie film "Best, Texas Grocery", shot in Texas, just outside of Austin. rumored that the film shot in many locations shared with the film " A perfect World", directed by Clint Eastwood.
- David was the original director of the film "Samuel Bleak". After unresolvable major artistic differences with the writer, lead actor and producer over the script. David left the film having shot the first week. Almost 30 minutes of the completed film running time. He was credited as "Sequence Director" although he directed the 1st unit through some of the films most memorable scenes.
- Was a partner at Rogue Arts from 2003-2007 and distributed over 40 independent films with partners Kirk Harris and Ron Gilbert. From 2002 - 2009, David had a successful post production company with childhood friend and long time collaborator, William Tabanou, called Jam Pictures in West Hollywood. The company grew quickly after it's humble beginnings in Little Tokyo and Koreatown.
- In 2015/ 2016 David Wrote and recorded an all original soundtrack for his film "Jonny's Sweet Revenge" with his two Bands, Ultrarev and westimer, reuniting him with childhood friends Dean Truitt and Gabriel Ordonez. The Ultrarev album includes two tracks with King's X singer and bassist DuG Pinnick.
- Learned how to shoot film at age 20 when he bought a used Arriflex 16mm camera. He shot his first Music Video and full length Feature with this camera. He went on to collect several other vintage cameras including a Bolex 16mm and several other 8mm film cameras, still cameras and lenses from the 60's and 70's and 80's.
