As soon as Future and Metro Boomin’ collaborative album We Don’t Trust You dropped a couple of its much-anticipated tracks, Kendrick Lamar took the stage and decided to spit pure fire through his verses and bars in the track titled Like That.
The reason this stirred the entire industry as well as the public was because it explicitly dissed Drake and J. Cole, two of the biggest names in Hip Hop right now.

This diss has fanned the flames of a new beef in the Hip Hop scene after quite some time, which has naturally got the people excited and curious about how and when it all started. Thus, an explanation with respect to the overall beef is in order!

Dr. Dre set out to prove he’s more than a producer and a rapper in a skit filmed for Jimmy Kimmel Live! that aired on Tuesday (March 19th). While joined by his frequent collaborators Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Eminem, Dre gave the late night host a check-up in a spoof of the long-running ABC drama Grey’s Anatomy called Dre’s Anatomy. Watch the full skit below.
The sketch revolved around Kimmel’s penis — which is apparently lacking in the size department. To open the skit, Dre looks under Kimmel’s hospital gown and says, “What the fuck is this? This man has no penis.”
He calls in Dr. Broadus (aka Snoop Dogg) to take a look with the aid of a magnifying glass. Then, 50 brings in a telescope to help Snoop guide Dre through some impromptu surgery — only to find out that Kimmel came in for a colonoscopy.

When Eminem made his first major-label music video, “My Name Is,” in 1999, he had no idea how huge it would become. At the time, he just wanted to (allegedly) take ecstasy and goof around as Bill Clinton, according to the notes he wrote for the newly released Vevo Footnotes edition of the video.
For the redux, the rapper wrote about how Dr. Dre dropped a needle on a record at their first session together, and he instinctively started saying, “Hi, my name is.” Feeling the vibe, he went home to the L.

Have you ever played a game so much that you feel like you could navigate it perfectly if you actually went there? Well, one GTA 5 player felt exactly the same way, and they aren’t just any GTA player, as they are also a world cup-winning football player called Hugo Lloris.
One amazing skill that gamers have developed over the years is the fact that they can easily remember maps in a game, to the point that even some players can navigate them blindfolded.
For some games, these maps are based on real-life locations and are so similar that if you played the game and then went to the location it is based in, you could navigate it just on your video game memory, just like Hugo Lloris believed upon his journey to LA to become a part of the LA Fc.

Days after Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love overperformed in its opening weekend at the box office, Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman stole a bit of the spotlight Feb. 20 in unveiling not one but four intersecting feature films from Sam Mendes about The Beatles, each focusing on one member of the Fab Four: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

Tupac Shakur's appearance in Straight Outta Compton is brief but impactful, with two actors portraying him: Marcc Rose and Darris Love. Marcc Rose, who plays Tupac on screen, closely resembles the rapper with his eyes, eyebrows, and posture, while Darris Love provides his vocals. Marcc Rose portrayed Tupac in another project, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., but his performance was limited in showing the rapper's personality.

His first big breakout as a music video director was the video for Ice Cube's It Was A Good Day (see below). It is a fairly literal music video, where we do see everything that Ice Cube describes play out on screen. The description of a good day, by Ice Cube standards, is all about having a lot of hedonistic fun,...

Super Bowl halftime executive producer Jesse Collins says Usher’s performance Sunday proves that he “belongs on that musical Mount Rushmore.”
“He’s one of the elites,” Collins told The Hollywood Reporter moments after the Grammy-winning star performed at the big game near Las Vegas.
Usher’s performance featured high-energy dancing, strong singing, roller skates and more. Guests including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Lil Jon, will.i.am, H.E.R. and Jermaine Dupri, and Usher ran through hits like “U Got It Bad,” “Love in This Club,” “U Don’t Have to Call” and “Yeah!”
Collins said he told Usher: “I was like, ‘You got the spirit of Marvin and Michael and James Brown all inside, and all that comes together.’”
“[You’re] watching someone that truly seeks perfection,” Collins adds. “And you get this incredible performer that can sing and dance and captivate an audience, and I think he did all that tonight.

Kendrick Lamar won an Emmy for performing at the Super Bowl halftime show and days before this year’s big game, the rap prince gave a memorable performance in Las Vegas.
Lamar performed at the Visa Cash App Rb Formula One Team 2024 season launch in Sin City, working the stage built like a catwalk on Thursday night. Wearing a suit and bright neon sneakers with a pic in his hair, he ran through a number of his hit songs, including “Humble,” “Alright,” “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Loyalty,” “Money Trees,” “Love” and “DNA.”
“Vegas, what the fuck is up?” he said at the top of his performance.
He closed his set with “Family Ties” and was joined by Baby Keem, who also performed earlier in the night.
“Until next time — we love y’all,” Lamar said as he exited the stage.

Sheryl Crow has tried everything: She’s read Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra, consulted with Jesus and Buddha, and even taken mushrooms. Yet, as she sings on her new single, “Do It Again,” she keeps making the same mistakes. At least she sounds serene as she lists here near revelations (and confesses, “Yeah, I’ll probably fuck it up again”) on the four-minute, bluesy pop-rock song off her upcoming Evolution album. Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Keith Urban) produced the LP, which comes out on March 29.

For the biggest night in music, the Grammy Awards consistently struggle to overcome their ordinariness. In previous years, the show seemed to be on a confused search for meaning. An identity crisis instigated by years of snubs and accelerated by the pandemic led comedian Trevor Noah to admit in 2022 that the event was “a concert where we give out awards.”
That sentiment still rings true two years later. With most of the categories abandoned to an energetic but sparsely attended preshow ceremony, the main telecast feels like a trying exhibition and a hotbed of contradictions. To watch the Grammys in 2024 is to witness an insistence on fun without much actual evidence of it.
Some of that has to do with the forces that have changed how people consume awards shows. Is it worth another subscription to tune in to a more-than-three-hour showcase, especially if you can catch the snipped and...

Jay-Z was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the Grammy Awards and took shots at the organization for snubbing Beyoncé and keeping her from taking the Album of the Year award.

Straight Outta Compton mixes fact and fiction, creating a more cinematic experience. Ice Cube really did smash a Priority Records office after they failed to fulfill their promise. While some events were accurate, the movie took liberties with the band's story for dramatic effect.
The 2015 movie about the notorious hip-hop group, N.W.A., brought their incredible true story to the big screen — and the dramatic biopic left many wondering how accurate is Straight Outta Compton. Directed by F. Gary Gray, the director behind films like Friday, The Negotiator, and Set It Off, the film shows the origins of N.W.A. while diving into the personal lives of Ice Cube, Eazy-e, Dr. Dre, Mc Ren, and DJ Yella. Like most biopics, Straight Outta Compton mixes facts with fiction to create a more cinematic experience.
Because Straight Outta Compton mixes fact and fiction, it does leave the audience with a lot of questions.

Death Row Records has been controversial since its creation in the 90s. It featured Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and more. Executive Suge Knight helped give the label its raw image of the West Coast hip-hop scene, but he also eventually hindered its ability to operate in a legal space. Due to the exit of its stars and multiple criminal charges, Knight lost control of Death Row, and eventually, after being owned by Mnrk Music Group, Snoop Dogg acquired the label for himself with plans to revive Death Row under the name of its rightful heir. With control over some of the Death Row music backlog, according to Variety, Snoop has some major plans for the label, including the launch of Death Row Pictures with his new movie The Underdoggs.

Taking the inspirational sports movie template, then infusing it with so much weed and foul language that it deserves its own MPAA rating, The Underdoggs is a good example of what happens when Snoop Dogg steps into an otherwise familiar tween-age comedy to wreak havoc. The results, perhaps suprisingly, are far from disastrous and ultimately quite endearing, though parents should be forewarned of a movie that drops more f- and b-bombs than all the ordnance released during World War II.

Nowadays, his outfits are similar to what he wore to Gooding Jr’s party. There, he wore a regular-sized and deceptively modest black t-shirt with matching colored jeans.
