- Sky du Mont's parents left Germany and moved to Argentina. Sky Du Mont attended school in Great Britain. He completed his high school diploma in Switzerland. From 1969 he trained as an actor in Munich, which he completed in 1971 with the examination before the State Theater Cooperative. Afterwards, Sky DuMont Theater began playing. In 1972 he had an engagement at the Munich Residenztheater. This was followed by one at the Berlin State Theater in 1973 and 1974. His theater career took him back to Munich to the Little Comedy in 1976 and 1990. While still acting in the theater, Sky du Mont began his career in television. He appeared in over 50 series, such as "The Inspector", "The Old Man", "A Case for Two", "Two Munichers in Hamburg", "The Moon Shines for Subtenants" and "Seven Days in Paradise" .
Du Mont did not limit himself to German television. He played in a total of 59 episodes of the successful US series "General Hospital". In 1979 he appeared in the English television film "Who Dunnit/ Love with a perfect Stranger". In 1987 he appeared in the American TV film "War & Rememberence" in the role of Count Stauffenberg. On French television he was seen in the production "Monsieur Vidoque". Sky DuMont also appeared in numerous US cinema productions. In 1976 he appeared in front of the camera with Gregory Peck in "Boys from Brazil". In the same year he filmed the title "The 21 Hours of Munich" with William Holden. He worked with Lee Marvin in the exciting production of "Lawinen-Express". "Omar Mukhtar - Lion of the Desert" with Anthony Quinn followed in 1980.
He reached another highlight of his cinema career in 1996 with the film "Eyes Wide Shut". He was hired by star director Stanley Kubrick for this erotic crime film. In it he plays the role of the seducer alongside the two global stars Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. Sky DuMont's more recent engagements include the US film "Manila" from 1998 and the comedy film "The Shoe of Manitu". In 2000 he began moderating the social magazine "Skylights", in which he hosted prominent personalities. Sky du Mont often played the charmer, lover and women's darling. But he also embodied the opposite in numerous roles - as a villain and criminal. Nevertheless, Sky du Mont cannot be reduced to these two roles; his talents and skills are far more diverse.
He is also successful and sought after as a voice actor. In September 2002 he published the novel "Prince and Paparazzi". The audio book of the same name in four CDs followed in March 2003. His second novel "Princes and Counterfeiters" was published in 2005. For his renewed collaboration with Michael "Bully" Herbig for the film "(T)Raumschiff Surprise" Sky DuMont was awarded a prize in autumn 2004 "Bambi" awarded. Sky du Mont moderated the Golden Deer award ceremony in 2005. Sky du Mont was married for the fourth time to Mirja, who was 28 years younger.
