Destination, time recreation! No, unfortunately we didn't just travel through time to get to 2017—though it does feel like it after we realized today marks the 10-year anniversary of Wizards of Waverly Place (!!!). Yes, 10 years ago today, the Disney show brought us the wizards we came to know as the Russo family, including Alex (Selena Gomez), Justin (David Henrie), and Max (Jake T. The magical series aired from 2007 to 2012, bringing us all sorts of spells, twists and turns. So since today marks the 10-year milestone of the first time it aired, we couldn't help but look...

John Stamos has strong feelings about the Fuller House set. As he tells People, "To me, the house is a character, you know?" We do. So it came as a great surprise to learn that a recreation of the Tanner family's San Francisco home was not always going to be the set of the Netflix spinoff. "There was a lot of talk about contemporizing it even up until the very end," says Stamos. "A lot of people wanted the girls living in this high-rise apartment thing, Sex and the City talk. And we were like, no, no, no, no." "When we started pitching it,...

Hi everyone! This is a feature we’ve been running in every issue of Deadly Horror & Sci-Fi Magazine and I thought this would also be a great resource for our readers here at Daily Dead as it can be often very difficult to keep up with everything arriving on VOD platforms each and every month.

Jerry (Ryan Reynolds) is an affable singleton who works on the factory floor at a bathtub factory, ever eager to get along with his co-workers, especially Fiona, (Gemma Arterton) and Lisa (Anna Kendrick) from accounts. After work Jerry goes home to his pet cat, Mr. Whiskers, and loyal dog Bosco, where the three of them hang out, watch TV and discuss the day’s events.

Initially, Seinfeld met with a lukewarm response, a baffled network, low ratings and a volatile creator. So how did it become such a hit?
“Pilot performance: Weak”. That was the research report verdict on the 1989 pilot of new NBC sitcom Stand Up, written by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. The episode had excited “lukewarm reactions among adults and teens and very low reactions among kids”. The audience found it annoying that the main character, a fictionalised version of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, “needed things to be explained to him”. The lead was too wimpy, the show was “too New York” (and therefore too Jewish) and worst of all, nothing happened in it. “You can’t get too excited about going to the Laundromat”, as one respondent put it. The report’s conclusion was stark: “no viewer was eager to watch the show again.”

Key & Peele: We were too busy on our show to film an Obamacare sketch with President Obama “We had to turn him down,” says Jordan Peele. “We were making the season.” Adds Keegan-Michael Key: “We literally couldn’t fit it in to our schedules...So we actually had to relieve the president of his duties." Chris from “Everybody Hates Chris” joins “The Walking Dead” Tyler James Williams, who’s almost 22 and who most recently starred on “Go On," will play a character named Noah. No other details have been revealed. Julie Chen on if we’ll get another “Big Brother: All-Stars”: “I don’t think so” "I mean, look at the ratings for this past season — higher than last year, all new people,” she tells EW. "Look, we love the Will Kirbys, the Mike Boogies, and the Janelles, and they will always have a special spot in our hearts.

The messed-up machinations of bored, oversexed stepsiblings Kathryn Merteuil and Sebastian Valmont aren’t quite as shocking in 2014 as they were when Cruel Intentions was released on March 5, 1999. (Blame Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, and a zillion other glitzy/scandalous imitators.)
That said, Cruel Intentions is still an enormously entertaining teen movie, even 15 years (gulp) after its initial release — thanks to an uncommonly sharp script, a killer soundtrack, and, most importantly, an impeccable cast, which featured future Oscar winners and future Sharknado stars alike. Well, one of each, but you get the picture. Whoever headed up this franchise had a...

On Thursday, Disney announced that "Wizards of Waverly Place" is coming back! At least, for one big special. The fan favorite series ended after four seasons on The Disney Channel, but the Russo family and their friends are coming back for a special movie, in which they all head to Tuscany to meet their long-lost relatives.
"Wizards of Waverly Place" stars Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera, David DeLuise and Gregg Sulkin will return along with star and executive producer Selena Gomez.
Now, Zap2it has even more details for you! First of all, the reason David Henrie's character Justin won't be in the special? He's already got plans! During the "Wizards" filming dates between Oct. 22 and Nov. 10, Henrie will be filming a movie, and the conflicting schedules were too difficult to rework.
Alex (Gomez) may benefit from not having her protective older brother around, though... because she's getting a new love interest!

We previously posted a few highlights of Bryan Fuller's panel at Comic-Con relating to "Mockingbird Lane", and now NBC has provided a pair of videos regarding both that show and "Hannibal" as well as a quick video update from "Do No Harm" co-executive producer David Schulner.
Written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer, "Mockingbird Lane" is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about "The Munsters", a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein — and their “plain” cousin that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy "Pushing Daisies". The series stars Portia DeRossi and Jerry O’Connell as Lily and Herman Munster, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie, and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.
"Hannibal" Synopsis:

One of the most commonly accepted clichés of American television is the family sitcom with the schlubby husband and gorgeous wife. It’s so pervasive that a quick Google search brings up this entry on the topic from TvTropes.org, which features 3,700+ words devoted to live action TV examples alone. Most TV fans look down on this conceit and series that use it, and yes, this sitcom stereotype has a basis in truth, but when did the trend start, and just how common is it? More interestingly, is there a connection between this aspect of a show and its quality or cultural significance? Here are 12 of the best and most influential American network sitcoms, along with a look at how each series plays into, subverts, or ignores the regular Joe/hot wife cliché.

At the end of the video, we are left with the big question, “Who Will Be The Family Wizard?”
So who do you think will win the competition and be named family wizard? Will it be Alex? Maybe Justin? Or perhaps Max will sneak in for the win. For those of you who think the series will find a loophole and allow all three of them to remain wizards,...

Wizards of Waverly Place (TV) may be buzz-worthy thanks to rising teen stars Selena Gomez, David Henrie, and Jake T. Austin, but beyond the young stars, the bits of magic and flights of fancy, the show works in large part thanks to its family underpinnings. There's love in the Russo house and that, probably more than anything else, is what enables WoWP to connect with viewers -- kids and parents alike. Much of the credit for that goes to David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrerra, who play Jerry and Theresa Russo, sharing terrific chemistry not just between the two of them, but also with Gomez, Henrie, and Austin. WoWP is currently in its third season and it's just been announced that the show will conclude after next season and a second WoWP made-for-television movie. We recently caught up with DeLuise -- son of the late comedy star Dom DeLuise and...

Jake T. Austin is a busy guy. Not only is he making films and working on the popular Disney show “Wizards of Waverly Place,” but he’s developing a passion project of his own. While promoting his latest feature, “The Perfect Game,” Austin took some time to discuss his future plans, which includes a "Stand By Me"-inspired story called "Kings of Suburbia."
"I’m writing a film [that is] kind of like ‘Stand By Me,'" he said, referring to the 1986 buddy drama starring Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Jerry O’Connell, which was itself adapted from a Stephen King novella. “It is my favorite movie. [My own project is] based on a true story about my cousin... growing up in sort of a rough neighborhood in Florida.”
There’s no Ray Brower -- the corpse the kids in the older movie discover -- in Austin’s cousin’s life, but the "Waverly...

Former rumored couple Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have been spotted going out on a lunch date. The "You Belong with Me" hitmaker was seen visiting The Farm in Beverly Hills together with her "Valentine's Day" co-star on Wednesday afternoon, March 24.
Just Jared reported that Swift's mother, Andrea, joined the country crooner and the "Twilight Saga" hunk for the afternoon. After enjoying the meal, the duo were snapped hopping into an SUV which took them back to a Beverly Hills hotel.
The night before on March 23, the 19-year-old country crooner was captured on camera joined by Cory Monteith when she went bowling with some friends. "Taylor and Cory definitely looked close - they spent most of the night chatting together and had a long hug before saying goodbye - but their separate exits seemed quite deliberate so people wouldn't think they were an item," so a source claimed.

They, however, were not alone as Selena Gomez, David Henrie and another couple of friends joined them in the game. Selena and David were celebrating the last day of filming "Wizards of Waverly Place" season 3. These two tagged along Taylor to grab a bite at Jerry's Deli before going bowling.
After the game ended and before they parted, Cory gave Taylor a big hug.
