Jason and his family previously lived in Los Angeles, but have now made their home on a renovated farm in the Cotswolds, where they keep a flock of Zwartbles Dutch sheep.
Jason was born in Singapore and raised in Hong Kong where he played tennis and swam every day as a child. He is also keen rock climber.
Became a huge household name when won the role of 'Mike Bradley' in 1997 as the star of
ITV's number one drama 'Heartbeat'.
Jason has enjoyed a huge successful theatre career with leading roles at The Royal Shakespeare Company, on number one national tours and in London's West End.
Jason is married to RHS gold medal winning garden designer and television presenter Kate Durr (nee Charman).
2015 saw Jason star in 'Way Up Stream' at The Chichester Festival Theatre along side Sarah Parish - the stage was flooded to create a 'river' for a real boat and every night Jason had to dive in. 'It's the first and probably the last time I'll swim on stage' he joked.
Jason has three children, Blossom and twins Felix and Velvet.
