Emmy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated composer, synthesist, digital
orchestrator, and flutist, Kat Epple, specializes in custom music,
scored to picture, or to script. She enjoys working with directors and
editors to find exactly the sound, mood, and feel that is needed for
their project. She composes and produces any style of music, and can
work within demanding time and budget constraints. Some of the film and
television musical scores she composed and recorded in her digital
studio include "National Geographic", "Nova", "Guiding Light", CNN,
Carl Sagan, "Another World", The Travel Channel, History Channel, PBS,
NASA, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Nature Conservancy, EPA, Home and
Garden Network, Apple Computers, and the feature length film, "Captiva
Island". Ms. Epple also has a large music "library" available.
She has also released 24 music albums on international record labels, performs live in concert, at venues such as: the Guggenheim Museums, United Nations, National Gallery, and throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and Russia. She also travels throughout the world, collecting flutes from other cultures which she features in her original compositions, performances, CD releases.
