Killed on February 22, 1984 when his helicopter collided with two cables supported by 150 foot tall twin towers in Thousand Oaks, California. It then went out of control and crashed in a 15 foot deep drainage ditch and burned. He had been cited two days earlier by the NTSB for "careless and reckless operation of an aircraft." Also killed in the crash was Dr. James Bruce Rushton, a dentist from Bel-Air. Fisher was giving Dr. Rushton a flying lesson.
