Correspondent for "Life" magazine.
In 1963 he moved to London to work as a consultant on public affairs and in theatrical productions.
In 1958 he became an associate producer for CBS News followed by a stint as a producer and writer at NBC News.
Awarded the Yale Medal in 1994.
Was a correspondent for Time Magazine and Life Magazine until 1958.
Between 1980 and 2010 he taught the Yale undergraduate course "Ethics in the Media".
Wrote the novels "But Will They Get It In Des Moines?" and "Sentinel Under Siege".
Served at the first director of the Office of Public Information and Alumni Services at Yale.
