Cartoon Brew it turns out the new animated film Leap is actually a previously internationally released animated film named Ballerina, reworked by the Weinsteins for the Us with a new voice cast. The difference: the reviews are terrible this time
Variety Orland Bloom to star in and produce an urban fantasy series called Carnival Row which has humans and mythological species interacting (sounds a smidge like the new Will Smith project Bright)
The Guardian James Cameron interview on Terminator 2. But the part that's getting quoted is his dismissal of Wonder Woman (though he says he enjoyed it)
Variety... but naturally Patty Jenkins has fired back
IndieWire lots of female directors hitting the festivals this year. Here's a list of 20
Nerdist we haven't heard anything about that ill-advised movie remake of The Birds (1963) in a while. But now there's news that another adaptation of the source novella is aiming to be...

In part two of VH1's Oscar questionnaire with "Madonna," played by the inimitable imitator Nadya Ginsburg, we learn about Her Madgesty's feelings towards Neil Patrick Harris, Julianne Moore, and the Lgbt community in movies. HitFix's own Louis Virtel -- who definitely has his own feelings about Madonna -- holds court with the queen in this edition of "Madonna Dearest." Part one is just as illuminating.

When you want an opinion about great acting, you go to the master. But because Cate Blanchett, Glenn Close, and hundreds of others were unavailable, we settled for Madonna. Watch as I take a break from The Snap to join forces with VH1 to interview "Madonna," played here by fantastic impersonator Nadya Ginsburg and dubbed by The Legends Panel, on the newest episode of the network's webseries Madonna Dearest. Turns out Madonna has really harsh opinions about "Interstellar," "Boyhood," and "Into the Woods." Some gross ones too! Part II will be coming up in the next few weeks. For now, enjoy this quick morsel of Ciccone wisdom. ...

In this classic episode of Doin’ It with Ethan, adorable host Ethan Mechare gets a rare invite to Madonna‘s secret bunker, where gifts and dance lessons are given, and the legend talks about home life with Lola and celebrating a Kabbalah Christmas.
Okay, so it isn’t really Madonna. It’s renowned comic impersonator Nadya Ginsburg, who perfectly nails Madge (and even throws in a quick Cher impression to boot).
Enjoy!

The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center had the perfect recipe to throw a successful anniversary bash Saturday as its 39th annual gala fundraiser set record attendance and was on pace to raise $600,000 for its programs.
With its Rand Schrader Distinguished Achievement Award going to Glee star Jane Lynch — and being presented by co-star Matthew Morrison (who plays Will Schuester) and creator-writer-director Ryan Murphy — the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel’s California Ballroom was standing room only as entertainers ranging from host Lily Tomlin to Kathy Griffin helped the Center raise funds for programs that support homeless Lgbt youth and those living with AIDS.
Tomlin kicked off the high school-themed evening with an opening monologue that ripped on everything from George W. Bush’s recent book — “that he claims to have written” — to ABC’s gay-friendly Modern Family, about which she joked that the show is among Republicans’ top 10 favorites because...

Trust me, they were all wearing something purple
Today is Spirit Day, which honors those teens who have lost their lives to anti-glbt bullying, and show support for Glbt youth. GLAAD has a list of the participants wearing purple today (purple symbolizes ‘spirit’ on the rainbow flag), and that list has been growing throughout the day. Below you can see Ft. Worth Councilman Joel Burns talk to Ellen about the inspiring testimonial that has gone viral worldwide.
I was afraid of this. Cutie pie Nate Berkus' daytime show is struggling mightily in the ratings, even losing to shrieking harpy Nancy Grace's new show. The other Oprah droppings, Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil were all the top rated new shows of their first seasons, but Nate has had difficulty finding his footing. The article calls his show "unfocused," and I think that's exactly right. He should pick...

For this episode of Driven to Distraction, Dennis Hensley is reporting from his favorite new club in Los Angeles, “Swagger” at Barbarella bar. And guess who is there to celebrate her 50th birthday? None other than Madonna!
Well, a Madonna impersonator anyway (actress Nadya Ginsburg), and she has the solipsism, over-processed hair, and fake English accent down pat! This is a funny episode. Check it out after the break.
Caution, "Madonna" employs some Nsfw language!
Note: If you're interested in booking Nadya Ginsburg, as Madonna or Cher, for a private party you can contact her via Facebook.
