Disney+ Premier means that the movie will be available for in-home purchase to Disney+ subscribers for $29.99 in those territories which have the streaming service. Previously, it looked like the Jaume Collet-Serra directed movie was destined strictly for theaters.

With final Oscar ballots in Academy voters’ hands as of April 15, we’re moving forward with our fourth annual series of interviews with Academy voters from different branches for their candid thoughts on what got picked, overlooked, and overvalued in this odd pandemic year.

One of the best things to come out of this challenging awards season has been the Academy Screening Room portal. It’s easy access and works perfectly. No need for screener DVDs! We’re missing the theaters for now, but we are saving the planet from DVD waste! Next: the trades online only, please!
The nominations were not shocking. A few surprises in the Best Actor/Actress categories, as there were performances of equal or greater merit that were left out, including Delroy Lindo in “Da 5 Bloods.”
I’m disappointed this year with Best Picture: not because an eligible film was overlooked, but...

‘Jungle Cruise’ Trailer: Disney Turns Its Popular Theme Park Ride Into a Big Screen Family Adventure
“Of all the jungle cruises you could take in the Amazon, this one is undoubtedly the cheapest. But also the most thrilling!” Combining out-and-out thriftiness and a thirst for adventure is, well, not exactly the theme park way (so pricey!), but appears to be the guiding principle of at least one new Disney character with a heart of gold and a desire for a good deal. Based on the popular Disney Parks attraction of the same name, Jaume Collet-Serra’s “Jungle Cruise” spins off some of the sillier elements of the long-running boat ride and attempts to turn them into the kind of frisky, feel-good family adventure the studio has long been known for.
The adventure film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a wily boat captain, with Emily Blunt (literally) on board as a determined explorer on a research mission into the heart of the jungle, where she believes...

I wrote about Project Nim last time (read that here) and since then I have watched six more documentaries, trying to close the gap on the number of documentaries I missed out on seeing over the course of 2011. As a result, I have now seen five of the 15 documentaries shortlisted by the Academy for Oscar consideration and unfortunately I don't have access to the other ten, though I still have the much talked about Senna and Werner Herzog's Into the Abyss yet to watch. Beyond all that, however, I have six documentaries to briefly discuss today so let's no waste anymore time... Undefeated Undefeated is hands-down, without a doubt fantastic. Yet, at the moment, two things piss me off about it. The Weinstein Co. hasn't done anything to promote it. There isn't a clip; there isn't a trailer; and the poster I used to the left is some rush...
