“Law & Order: Organized Crime” has been renewed for Season 5, with the show now officially set to move from NBC to Peacock.
The news comes after weeks of speculation that the show would make the jump to the streaming service from the broadcast network. The Season 4 finale will air on NBC on May 16 and stream the next day on Peacock.
Moving “Law & Order: Oc” to Peacock is not altogether surprising. The show has lagged behind fellow Dick Wolf series “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Svu,” and the three “Chicago” shows at NBC while still maintaining solid viewership. It also reportedly does very well on Peacock, particularly given its more serialized storylines, a departure from Wolf’s typical procedural format.
It was also the last Dick Wolf broadcast show awaiting word on its fate for next season. The other two “Law & Order” shows and all three “Chicago” shows were renewed back in March.

The last NBC drama series whose fate had not been determined, Law & Order: Organized Crime, is finalizing a deal for a 10-episode Season 5 renewal, sources said. As Deadline reported exclusively this month, the Wolf Entertainment series will be relocating from NBC to sibling Peacock, with the new season streaming exclusively on the platform.
The move gives the NBCUniversal streamer an original Dick Wolf drama series to go with the Wolf library and next-day runs of the company’s remaining NBC series Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu, which are among the platform’s most viewed titles.

This article contains spoilers for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 4 episode 1.
In the season three finale of Law & Order: Organized Crime, fans were shocked when Detective Jamie Whelan was shot in the neck and killed off after the bullet went through his spine. The injury had Whelan convinced he would never walk again as he lost all feeling in his upper and lower body, despite Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger) and Bobby Reyes’ (Rick Gonzalez) assurance that he would be okay. After hearing Jet say that she loves him over the phone, he asks Reyes to let him go, insisting that he can’t and won’t live this way.
Of course, Reyes refuses to disconnect the plugs, but when he leaves the room so that Whelan’s father could visit, it seems that his father did exactly what his son asked for. We see the doctors rush in...

There’s been yet another change at the helm of Dick Wolf’s Law & Order: Organized Crime. Sean Jablonski is stepping down as showrunner of NBC’s police procedural, Deadline has confirmed. Jablonski is the fourth showrunner to depart the Law & Order spinoff in the past year.
Law & Order: Svu’s David Graziano will oversee the remaining three episodes of Season 3 of Law & Order: Organized Crime, starring Christopher Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt, Ainsley Seiger, Brent Antonello and Rick Gonzalez.
Sources tell Deadline Jablonski is exiting due to creative differences.
Jablonski took over as showrunner in September 2022 for Bryan Goluboff. Goluboff replaced Barry O’Brien, who was named interim showrunner in late February 2022. O’Brien had been asked to step in and finish the season after the exit of previous showrunner Ilene Chaiken.

Law & Order: Organized Crime‘s winter premiere introduces a new arc, one involving a gang based out of Miami looking to make a name for itself running drugs in New York; Jamie goes undercover as a driver, after they kidnap the wife of one of Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) informants. But in the final moments, Jamie ditches the wire, then leaves the meeting point to go with the gang to another location — and also has to lose their tail. Antonello teases what’s ahead for Jamie during this next arc. Jamie’s decision to ditch the wire was probably the right move, but doing so means he’s completely out of contact ...

Can Detective Jamie Whelan (Brent Antonello) handle the pressure of going undercover? That’s the question for the January 5 winter premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime. In “Trap,” one of Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) informants turns to him when his wife is kidnapped by a rising gang based out of Miami. They want to take over New York and are running drugs, using street racing nights to recruit the best drivers. “Bell and Stabler read Jamie’s file and they find out that he was a stock car racer back in the day, and they use those skills that he has to do a deep dive and try to infiltrate this Miami gang,” Antonello previews. But while we’ve seen Stabler and Detective Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) go undercover, this is new ground for Jamie. “[He] hasn’t been faced with this kind of pressure, especially as an individual by himself.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 9, “Last Christmas.”] At least for now, that wasn’t the “Last Christmas” the task force will be together for on Law & Order: Organized Crime. Heading into the episode, the members of the unit thought the last thing they’d do together would be to meet with Robert Silas (John Doman) and make a deal for the information he has. Things, of course, went sideways — Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) and her detectives, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger), Jamie Whelan (Brent Antonello) and Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) were ambushed — but worked out in the end. After that, Bell decided she wasn’t taking the new job and would instead be staying right where she is — and that means the task force isn’t being shut down (but that cleanse with the sage Jamie gave her? Much needed for the office). “I think ...

In Thursday night’s episode of “Law & Order,” Mehcad Brooks’ police detective character Jalen Shaw find himself inadvertently perpetuating the racism of the prison system when he learns, too late, that a young male suspect whose confession he’s obtained is actually innocent.
“This young man is waiting for his trial. He’s been at Rikers for 18 months, he’s being abused and assaulted on Rikers on a daily basis. So he decides to escape. We find out that he’s innocent, through a video that never surfaced later. And then the problem is, during his escape, the kid takes a hostage, and things go sideways,” Brooks says of the episode, titled “The System.”

Elisabeth Röhm, who played Ada Serena Southerlyn on “Law & Order” from 2001 to 2005, returned after 17 years to direct last week’s episode “Only the Lonely” through NBCU’s Launch Female Forward program.
“It’s poetic to come back at this juncture of my life,” Röhm told TheWrap. “Dick Wolf gave me my first opportunity as an actress, and he gave me my first opportunity as an episodic director.”
“It’s almost surreal. I can’t explain how monumental it was to share in those scenes with the new cast. Odelya especially, just to help her, elevate her, support her, and help develop that character. And just be a part of the story of the new reboot,” said Röhm about the episode, in which Odelya Halevi’s character, Ada Samantha Maroun, stands up for a female witness, played by Alysia Reiner, whose reputation as a lawyer will be ruined if she’s forced to testify.

Detective Jamie Whelan (Brent Antonello) may be in for bad news about more than just his morning coffee soon on Law & Order: Organized Crime after TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the November 17 episode. The clip begins with Jamie in the break room, watching the coffee drip and complaining to Detective Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez), “we’ve been on the moon. Mankind has walked on the moon, and this is still the cutting edge of coffee-making? I don‘t get it.” But “some say the moon landing was a hoax to spook the Russians,” Bobby remarks. “Some people are morons,” Jamie says. Detective Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger) joins them with “what’s up, colleagues?” and Bobby asks if she thinks the moon landing was real or not. “Who says there’s even a moon?” she replies. But Jet is soon distracted by a closed-door meeting going on in...

If you’ve been wanting to know more about Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) time in Italy — where the Stablers were living while he was working as the international liaison in Rome for the NYPD before his return when Law & Order: Organized Crime kicked off in 2021 — “All That Glitters” is going to give you some intel. In TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the October 10 episode, the task force is closing in on a gold smuggling operation and tracks down a jewelry courier (Moonhaven‘s Ayelet Zurer) in the hopes they can get information from her on her boss. When she realizes Stabler, Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt), Detective Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez), and Detective Jamie Whelan (Brent Antonello) are on her tail, she runs. In this exclusive “Law & Order” clip from Nov. 10’s “Only the Lovely” episode, A.D.A. Samantha Maroun (Odelya Halevi) stops male colleagues Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Nolan Price (Hugh Dancy) in their tracks when she takes the side of a reluctant female witness over theirs.
The case involves the murder of a female crisis consultant, which leads to Devon Miller (Mark Feuerstein), a con man who was a companion to several high society women. McCoy wants one of Miller’s other targets, Grace Pollard (Alysia Reiner), to testify, but she refuses as it would ruin her reputation as a lawyer who has advocated for women’s rights.
Nolan impatiently states, “Her ego is getting in the way,” but Maroun emphatically disagrees.
“No. It’s about legacy, preserving all the causes she’s advocated for,” she tells McCoy and Price, who are stunned by her vehemence on the issue.

It's bad enough that Stabler doesn't listen to Bell.
As of Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 6, she has two officers who do whatever they want rather than listen to her instructions.
Reyes' disobedience was probably a one-time thing, but still.
Reyes went on a personal mission to stop Leonard from abusing a new generation of foster kids. Someone should have realized that's what he was doing as soon as he went off the grid.
Bell knew his secret and that he would stop at nothing to get justice for his foster brothers, even the murderous Vaughn.

Rick Gonzalez's acting was beyond impressive during this confrontation. It was impossible to tell whether Reyes' tears over not being sexually abused like the other boys were real or fake. His eyes got incredibly huge when Leonard claimed he comforted broken boys.

That will lead her to lean on Stabler for support as they try to focus on some dangerous new crimes.
Meanwhile, Ainsley Seiger, who plays Jet Slootmaekers, indicated her hacker might also be getting into a new relationship.
This comes amid a controversial showrunner turnover that may shift the Season 3 plans.

Hit the reset button! Season 3 of Law & Order: Organized Crime does just that, says executive producer Bryan Goluboff, starting with new detectives in the Organized Crime squad. Bobby Reyes is a versatile undercover expert, and Jamie Whelan idolizes Stabler (Christopher Meloni) for his riskiest qualities — exactly the behaviors he wants to change as he undertakes, along with Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt), a personal evolution. (Credit: Zach Dilgard/NBC) The two empty nesters are asking themselves, “Who am I?” in terms of their costly total devotion to the job, the EP notes. The answer: damn fine cops who accept that if their lives are singularly about law enforcement, it’s “‘Let’s be the best we can possibly be,’” he adds. “That’s bad news for the bad guys.” Those would be the mobbed-up folks building a new NYC casino. Law & Order: Organized Crime is undergoing yet another shakeup.
In a surprising move, Bryan Goluboff is stepping down as showrunner before the Season 3 premiere of the spin-off.
He will be replaced by Sean Jablonski, who has experience producing the mothership Law & Order series.
There is no word on why the sudden change is happening, which makes Jablonski the show’s fourth showrunner in seven months.
This comes after Goluboff had talked in interviews about his plan for Season 3, which would have included shorter story arcs and more focus on the personal lives of Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and his squad.
The sudden change should not affect episodes that have already been filmed but will mean some adjustments as Season 3 prepares to premiere on September 22.

Another behind-the-scenes change at Law & Order: Organized Crime: Sean Jablonski is taking over for Bryan Goluboff as showrunner.
Just three months ago, Goluboff replaced Barry O’Brien, who was named interim showrunner in late February. Having joined the series as co-executive producer in November, O’Brien was asked to step into the leadership role and finish the season after the exit of previous showrunner Ilene Chaiken. O’Brien will continue on Organized Crime as writer/executive producer for Season 3.
Now it’s Jablonski’s job to steer the Law & Order spinoff that stars Christopher Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt, Ainsley Seiger, Brent Antonello and Rick Gonzalez. Earlier in his writing career, Jablonski wrote for Law & Order before moving onto shows like Nip/Tuck, Suits and Project Blue Book. He’s repped by CAA, Underground Management and Gregg Gellman.

New showrunner Bryan Goluboff has confirmed that in the new season of the spinoff, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) will finally be investigating crimes as himself.
While Season 1 had Stabler hunting for the murderer of his wife, Season 2 focused on him going undercover in a mob and then a pack of corrupt cops.
This put Stabler through an emotional wringer while wrestling with his place as a detective.
But Season 3 will put that aside as Stabler will be out in the open investigating crimes without the undercover work.
This plays into a new pair of possible villains whose casino business is tied to a potential criminal operation.

Green Lantern may be one of the most influential superhero movies of all time. Yes, I’m referring to 2011’s Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan and Mark Strong as Sinestro. Yes, really, I’m talking about the movie in which the hero first uses his superpowers to beat up blue-collar workers who he angered when his decision to show off lost them their jobs.
To see that influence, you need to look not at the big screen, but at the small screen. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Green Lantern co-writer Greg Berlanti put it plainly. “[W]hile it was heartbreaking on the film side,” Berlanti said of the movie’s failure; “it ultimately led to wonderful things on the television side.” In other words, had Green Lantern been a success, Berlanti would have been stuck continuing work on DC movies, instead of creating the Arrowverse.
