- Hanno Höfer was born on July 8, 1967 in Timisoara, Romania. He is a composer and director, known for The International Phone Call (1998), Ajutoare umanitare (2002) and Tales from the Golden Age (2009).
- In 2003 Hanno Höfer founded together with director/writer Cristian Mungiu and cinematographer Oleg Mutu the production company 'Mobra Films'.
- He is a member of two important Romanian jazz and blues groups: "Nightlosers" and Harry Tavitian's "Orient Express".
