Comcast unveiled a shock change atop its entertainment arm NBCUniversal on Sunday, putting in charge trusted corporate executive Mike Cavanagh to replace NBCU CEO Jeff Shell.
In a Monday regulatory filing, the company detailed that Shell had engaged in “inappropriate conduct with a female employee, including allegations of sexual harassment,” leading it to retain outside counsel to investigate. “Evidence was uncovered that corroborated the allegations,” the filing highlighted. As a consequence, Comcast “terminated Mr. Shell’s employment with cause,” meaning he won’t have right to severance pay, with immediate effect.
Attorney Suzanne McKie of Farore Law stated to multiple outlets that her client, CNBC journalist Hadley Gamble, made a complaint against Shell that sparked an investigation.

Apparently, when he's not cutting hair, Zach Galifianakis is living in a haunted house with Tim & Eric. Well, that's at least what his new Adult Swim pilot would like you to believe. Entitled Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories: Zach’s Haunted House, the show would feature those three knuckleheads as relatives whose grandfather dies and leaves them each $1,000, but in order to collect, they must live in his haunted mansion for the rest of their lives. Just a guess, but it'll probably be super weird. At today's Upfronts, Adult Swim also announced pilots from Paul Scheer, former Space Ghost writer Matt Harrigan, the creators of Robot Chicken, and two live-action pilots from Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder. They'll be looking to join the new series from Dan Harmon and Mike Tyson. We already knew about Harmon's animated show about an inventor and his grandson, Rick and Morty, but Mike Tyson?...

Exclusive: Adult Swim has picked up a second season of the live-action comedy Eagleheart, starring Chris Elliott. The quarter-hour series, a parody of butt-kicking crime dramas like Walker, Texas Ranger, hails from Conan O'Brien's Conaco Prods. It was set up while O'Brien and Conaco were still based at NBC but now represents nice synergy between Time Warner entities. Elliott is set to return as U.S. Marshal Chris Monsanto, who blindly kicks, punches and shoots his way to what may or may not be a legitimate solution to his case, along with co-stars Brett Gelman and Maria Thayer as his sidekicks Brett and Susie. Eagleheart, which premiered Feb. 3 at midnight, was No. 1 in its time slot among adults/men 18-34 and 18-49, and it ranked as basic cable's No. 1 sitcom in the men 18-34 and men 18-49 demos. The series was created by former Late Night With Conan O'Brien...
