If you ever visit Los Angeles and feel like taking a tour of all the old theaters you will be absolutely amazed. If you are as into old theaters as I am, you will be all the more stunned at the beauty of some of these landmarks. Fangoria has teamed up with the Fine Arts Theatre at 8556 Wilshire Blvd. theatre in Beverly Hills; a the theater dating back to 1939 – a major year for film. Fango Fiends, this is the home of Midnite Madness, where we show a horror movie preceded by a short film. I have already written that I champion the short film so we’ll move past that.
This week our movie is The Intervention directed by Shannon Hile, who will be attending along with co-writer/star Richard Eden. After raging zombies last week, this week’s movie is a psychological thriller. The Intervention is the story of Matt who,...

New horror film The Intervention, written and directed by Shannon Hile will be playing in Los Angeles tomorrow, Saturday, May 23rd at The Fine Arts Theatre.
According to the director, the official synopsis is: 'Tom Garret resolves to push aside his troubled past and return to his childhood home, to help intervene in the destructive path of his brother, Mathew. At first, the forceful intervention seems to be making headway, but as the night wears on, what appears to have been an obvious case of alcoholism takes a demonic twist. A dark entity surfaces and methodically turns the group against each other; Tom being the primary target.'

Matt Garret has a serious problem. Demons have taken hold of his life and before he can get any better, he’s going to take his whole family down with him!
The Intervention is an ambitious low-budget horror film from first-time director/producer/screenwriter Shannon Hile, who sent along the poster and the exclusive pics seen at the bottom of this page. An actress with credits including The X Files and Monk, she was inspired to do the film in a unique way. “I had been involved in a family member’s intervention, and it was a completely horrific experience,” she tells Fango. “Just awful; I could not imagine what was going on in that person’s head. I felt it would be perfect for a horror film, exploring demons—an addict’s inner demons.”
Hile collaborated on the screenplay with her actor husband Richard Eden, TV’s RoboCop. “We...

If you click here you can check out the trailers and a few stills from the new indie pic, The Intervention, which was written and directed by Shannon Hile. On September 17th 2002, eight people gathered in an isolated house just North of Los Angeles, to intervene in the destructive path of alcoholic husband, friend, and brother, Matt Garret. The horrific, paranormal events that transpired on that autumn night, could only lead to one implausible conclusion - demonic possession. The Intervention is a psychological/horror film that will challenge ones faith in the true powers of good and evil. The mind has many doors and what you see may not be fact.
