Fans hoping for a Two and a Half Men reboot shall go wanting, at least when it comes to Jon Cryer getting back to business with Charlie Sheen. Cryer, who co-starred with Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones on the CBS sitcom, is aware of the demand for a reunion but feels Sheen may have poisoned the well. Speaking with The View, Jon Cryer confessed that he feels the ship has sailed for a Two and Half Men reboot, saying he would prefer to focus on his new sitcom, Extended Family.
Discussing the possibility of a Two and Half Men reboot, Cryer told Alyssa Farah Griffin of The View he’s aware of Sheen mending the once-broken bridge between himself and the sitcom’s producer Chuck Lorre. However, he’s uninterested in giving the Two and a Half Men formula another try. In so many words, Cryer said Sheen sabotaged...

Jon Cryer has no particular interest in erasing the Ashton Kutcher era of Two and a Half Men and revisiting the CBS sitcom with former co-star Charlie Sheen.
During an appearance on Friday’s episode of The View, the two-time Emmy winner was asked if he’d ever consider a revival of Two and a Half Men now that Sheen and series co-creator Chuck Lorre have buried the hatchet — and his response suggested that he would not be willing to open that door again.

Update, with video: Probably best not to hold your breath for any possible Two and a Half Men reboots. Jon Cryer doesn’t seem to be.
Cryer, who co-starred with Charlie Sheen on the famously troubled but immensely popular CBS 2003-2015 sitcom, visited The View today to promote his latest series, the NBC sitcom Extended Family. When the inevitable question about the possibility of a Two and a Half Men reboot series, Cryer was considerably less than enthusiastic.
When View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that Sheen had recently rekindled his friendship with Men producer Chuck Lorre (the two are working on the Max comedy Bookie), she asked whether Cryer would be open to a Men reboot.
But Cryer suggested that Sheen sabotaged the show’s initial run, and that the prospect of working together again “for any length of time” is not a high priority for the Pretty in Pink actor.

No need to place your bets: Chuck Lorre’s “Bookie” is coming back. The comedy series, starring Sebastian Maniscalco and created by Lorre and Nick Bakay, has been renewed for a second season. The first season’s finale debuted on Max on Dec. 21.
“We couldn’t be more excited that Max listened to their gut, paid the juice, and let it ride on Season 2 of ‘Bookie,'” Lorre and Bakay said in a statement.
The dark comedy, produced by Warner Bros. TV, followed Maniscalco’s Danny, an L.A. bookie trying to keep his job amid the possible legalization of sports gambling in California. With the help of his best friend Ray (Omar J. Dorsey), sister Lorraine (Vanessa Ferlito), and reformed drug dealer Hector (Jorge Garcia), he must try to settle his clients’ debts.

The 58-year-old actor was recently asked about the potential after his co-star Charlie Sheen and the show’s creator Chuck Lorre reconciled with each other, years after their falling out.

Ho Ho Ho motherf*ckers! Yup, it’s that time of year again…the giving season. As families everywhere come together to celebrate the holidays, bundle up by the fire, and indulge in a parade of sappy Christmas movies, the real adults in the room are going to need something with a bit more kick. Think about it, the all-time best Christmas movies – It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, you name it – all revolve around sentimental family-friendly stories for children and adults to enjoy equally. But f*ck all that, Jack, this year we’re all about honoring a bona fide Christmas classic expressly aimed at adult audiences. While Die Hard and Violent Night are worthy action-packed contenders, it’s time to dish out the edible cookies and spiked eggnog for Bad Santa – easily the most politically incorrect and controversially transgressive Christmas comedy on record.

Exclusive: I sit down for breakfast with Charlie Sheen not exactly knowing what to expect. His bookend episodes of Bookie that reunited him with Two And a Half Men‘s Chuck Lorre remind of what was lost after the actor’s inexplicable, substance-fueled “Tiger Blood” meltdown led to an abrupt parting of the ways and separating him from one of sitcom TV’s highest-ever salaries at a reported $1.8 million an episode. It has been a dozen years since then, and I come in harboring my own feelings. Basically, Two And a Half Men (the Charlie Harper Years) have been my reliable go-to at the end of most long days in the trenches. I can practically recite the dialogue along with Sheen, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, as well as Holland Taylor (their mom), Melanie Lynskey (Charlie’s stalker), Marin Hinkle (Alan Harper’s ex), and the late Conchata Ferrell, who played the housekeeper Berta.

Two And A Half Men creator Chuck Lorre reunited with series star Charlie Sheen after the two had a bitter falling out, leading to Sheen’s firing for a new show, Bookie.
Developed by Lorre and Nick Bakay, Bookie stars Sebastian Maniscalco as Danny, a Los Angeles sports betting bookie struggling to keep up with changing times in the gambling world. The show also stars Omar J. Dorsey, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito and Jorge Garcia.
In the first episode, Danny heads to Malibu to collect a debt from Charlie Sheen and finds him at a rehab facility. Sheen isn’t a patient – he is hosting a weekly poker game. One of the players is Two and a Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones.
The scene also acts as a homage to the poker scene in the Two and a Half Men pilot.

Sheen’s appearance on “Bookie” (which premiered Nov. 30 on Max) is rightfully getting all of the attention, given the newsworthiness of his reunion with Lorre, a decade after their explosive falling out.

It’s quite a reunion in today’s premiere of Chuck Lorre’s new Max comedy series Bookie.
The episode revisits the poker scene in Lorre’s Two and a Half Men pilot, which reunites Lorre’s Two and a Half Men alums Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones.
In the Bookie premiere, Danny, played by Sebastian Maniscalco, heads to Malibu to collect a debt from Sheen, whom he finds at a rehab facility. But Sheen isn’t a patient at the facility; he’s actually hosting a weekly poker game, and one of the players is “Half Man” Angus T. Lorre spoke about the scene in an interview with Extra. “Charlie and I were discussing recreating that poker scene.

Melanie Lynskey may not have seen the last of her “Two and a Half Men” days.
The “Yellowjackets” and “Last of Us” star revealed that she is open to reprising her role in a possible reboot of Warner Bros. and CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men,” which co-starred Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, Holland Taylor, and Angus T. Jones. The long-running series debuted in 2003 and ran for 12 seasons before concluding in 2015. Lead star Sheen was fired from production in 2011 after entering a drug rehab facility and slamming series creator Chuck Lorre. Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen in the series, who filed a $100 million lawsuit against executive producer Lorre and the network for being let go.
Now, Sheen and Lorre are collaborating together again on Max sitcom “How to Be a Bookie,” and Lynskey is applauding Sheen’s current state of mind.

Two men are mending fences as Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre are gearing up to reunite for Max‘s How to Be a Bookie. Sheen has been cast in the upcoming Max comedy series co-created by Lorre, according to Deadline. The duo previously teamed up for CBS‘s long-running show Two and a Half Men which Sheen memorably departed in 2011 after an eight-year stint as playboy bachelor Charlie Harper. The sitcom which costarred Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones went through a bit of a rough patch upon Sheen’s exit which also included a falling out between the actor and Lorre. (Credit: Vince Bucci/Getty Images) How to Be a Bookie will be led by comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco and will reportedly feature Sheen in a recurring role for the single-camera comedy hailing from Warner Bros. Television. No official statements about Sheen’s casting have been made by Max at this time.

Terry Zwigoff's 2003 film "Bad Santa" was more or less destined for cult classic status. Starring an Academy Award-winning actor, "Bad Santa" was deliberately crass and misanthropic, an antidote to the treacly sentimentality that ordinarily infuses films explicitly about Christmas.
In "Bad Santa," Billy Bob Thornton plays an itinerant mall Santa named Willie who uses his seasonal job to plan last-minute mall heists with his partner Marcus (Tony Cox), who poses as one of Santa's Elves. The heists typically go well, but just barely, as Willie is a wrathful, cruel alcoholic who has a great deal of trouble controlling his constant base impulses toward cussing and lechery. The late Bernie Mac played Gin, a mall manager who caught wise to Marcus' and Willie's plan, and Lauren Graham played Sue, a woman with a Santa Claus fetish that Willie was happy to indulge. Nine-year-old Brett Kelly played an unobservant boy named...

“The following is a true story. Except for cutting the boring shit and making up a bunch of stuff, this really happened.”
So opens Sex, Drugs and a Sitcom, a wild TV pilot script written by überproducer Chuck Lorre about the tumultuous time he spent steering the ship at Two and a Half Men. The series starred, of course, Charlie Sheen, then one of the highest-paid actors on TV, before he was fired in 2011 after publicly attacking Lorre, launching antisemitic insults and calling him a “turd” and a “clown.”
The script, obtained by THR, is dated June 15, 2022. According to a source, Lorre shopped it around town but didn’t set it up — though there’s little doubt it dropped a few jaws with its raucous, no-holds-barred account of what (possibly?) went on behind the scenes.

NBC is in negotiations on a pilot order for a multi-cam comedy from Mike O’Malley with Jon Cryer in talks for a lead role, Variety has learned.
In the untiled series, after an amicable divorce, Jim and Julia decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets more complicated for Jim when the owner of his favorite sports team enters the picture and wins Julia’s heart.
Lionsgate is the studio behind the project. O’Malley is the writer and executive producer, with Tom Werner, Wyc Grousbeck, Emilia Fazzalari, and George Geyer also executive producing.
Should the project go forward, it would bring Cryer back to the world of multi-cam broadcast comedy. He famously starred in the hit CBS series “Two and a Half Men” throughout its 12-season run, making...

It's always wild to spot former child stars in the, er, wild. And the nostalgia was real when Two and a Half Men alum Angus T. Jones was snapped last week by celebrity photographers for the first time in almost five years. The actor, now 27 years old, was spotted in Los Angeles, bearded and barefoot! At age 10, the former child star rose to fame playing Jake Harper, Charlie Sheen's character's nephew and Jon Cryer's character's son, on the '00s CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. In 2012, Jones, then one of the highest-paid TV actors and at the peak of his fame, publicly criticized the show in a video filmed for Alabama-based church Forerunner...

Jake Harper spotted! More than six years after the stars of Two and a Half Men signed off on their hit sitcom, there's been a new sighting of Angus T. Jones. The actor famously played the youngest member of the trio on the CBS show and practically grew up in front of viewers' eyes. The child star was just 10 years old when he started out on the show and was 21 by the time he made an appearance in the 2015 finale, having exited the series earlier after publicly criticizing it. On Aug. 27, the now-27-year-old performer was spotted in Los Angeles, but if you looked quickly, you might not have noticed it was him at all. Jones was sporting a full beard covering the lower half of his face,...

Another modern-classic sitcom has found its streaming home — but it’s not going to the home that produced it. “Two and a Half Men” will stream exclusively on NBCUniversal’s forthcoming streaming service, Peacock, the platform announced during a Comcast investor event in New York on Thursday.
The Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones — and later Ashton Kutcher — comedy, which ran for 12 seasons from 2003 to 2015 on CBS, was produced by Warner Bros. Television. As you may have heard, that studio’s parent company, WarnerMedia, will be launching its own streaming service, HBO Max, this spring.
The fact that the streaming rights to “Two and a Half Men” were acquired by a direct competitor — which will be the first Svod to house the comedy — is a surprise, given that HBO Max has snapped up the rights to its other classics, like “Friends” and “The West Wing,” from Netflix and paid...

Angus T. Jones, aka Jake from Two and a Half Men, has been up to quite a bit since his departure from the show. Louis Ck Opens Door to ‘Horace and Pete’ Return; ‘Two and a Half Men’ Star Angus T. Jones Is the Key
Louis Ck says his web series, “Horace and Pete,” may not be over after all — and that “Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones could help continue the story. Ck spoke on Marc Maron‘s “Wtf” podcast Thursday about how he had always intended the show as a ten-act play — and Maron said reports of its cancellation were misleading. (You should listen to the entire podcast, because Maron and Ck covered a lot — including how Ck sought Jack Nicholson for the role that went to Alan Alda — and which Ck also offered to Joe Pesci.) News of the first episode simply appeared in the inboxes of people on the LouisCK.net email list that just said "Go here to watch it. We hope you like it."
