Had Warner Bros. given Joel Schumacher an extra year to develop and shoot "Batman & Robin," it's reasonable to expect that he would've turned around another agreeably campy lark on par with "Batman Forever;" ergo, from the fans' perspective, it's probably a blessing that the studio rushed him from 1996's "A Time to Kill" straight into his second Dark Knight yarn. Had Schumacher been granted more time to refine the film with screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, he might've stuck with the franchise — which, spinning this alternate timeline forward, could've knocked George Clooney out of Steven Soderbergh's "Out of Sight" and obviated the need for Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins." A series-hobbling Bat-bomb is a more than acceptable tradeoff here.
There were, however, certain elements of "Batman & Robin" that were always going to fall flat, most notably the casting of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. Had Warner Bros. been smart...

This year’s look back at the Super Bowl, recapping the Kansas City Chiefs’ 38-35 comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles, will come out digitally on Friday and then as a combo pack with a Blu-ray disc on March 14. Music producer-turned-film director Chris Stokes (You Got Served) turns his hands to horror with The Helpers. And whilst his early work featured a number of rappers and singers he has produced and worked with, this is his first movie Not to follow that format. This time round Stokes takes a bunch of relative unknowns (the majority of whom are credited with small roles in TV fare) and casts them in a movie that blends traditional filmmaking with that most risible of genres – the found-footage film.

From Chris Stokes and Marques Houston, director/writer and star of You Got Served, comes a new dance film that sees the dance-contest film genre that have surged in recent years moving down the ages to star a host of young kids.
A new trailer for Battlefield America has landed, courtesy of Yahoo Movies, and whilst it’s not my personal cup of tea, I’m sure there are plenty of fans of Stokes’ earlier film who’ll want to see what he’s bringing to the big screen next.
“The Bad Boys are a youth hip-hop dance crew struggling to compete in the battle dance culture in Long Beach, California. Sean Lewis, a young, charismatic, successful businessman finds himself in the mix with the disheveled misfits, who have virtually no dance talent. Realizing his dilemma, Sean brings aboard a professional dance instructor to ease his responsibilities to these kids.

Chris Stokes' ('You Got Served') new torture horror flick 'The Helpers' certainly appears to be quite the mixing pot of horror films and themes past and present. The new teaser trailer for the movie has showed up and does feature what seems to be quite the heavily influenced style. Still it may just be cut of the trailer, we shall see when it sees its release. The film stars the gorgeous Kristen Quintrall (below) along with Denyce Lawton, Christopher Jones, JoJo Wright, Rachel Sterling, Black Thomas, Dustin Harnish, Cameron Diskin and Braxton Davis. If you're fans of overly long and way too detailed plot synopses then you're going to love this one below! The trailer can be viewed below also....

Is the world ready for a torture porn movie from the director of You Got Served? No, it’s not called You Got Sawed. The title is The Helpers. Sadly, it’s not about African-American maids in Mississippi in the 1960’s getting revenge against their racist white employers by going all Jigsaw on them.
Kristen Quintrall (Wolvezbayne), Denyce Lawton (“House of Payne”), Christopher Jones (You Got Served, JoJo Wright (Bring it On: All or Nothing, and former “The Man Show” juggy dancer Rachel Sterling star in Chris Stokes' (You Got Served, House Party 4) upcoming The Helpers.
Here’s a plot synopsis that by the third paragraph goes from merely summarizing the story to spoiling major plot twists. Read at your own peril.
Seven friends, three couples (Claire, Todd, Jordan, Brandy, Ryan, and Anna) and their tag-along buddy Phil from Sacramento, California, all decide to go on a trip to Las Vegas.

This is a story from Rachel Estrada Ryan. It tells of the love over many years that her grandfather, Joseph Triano, has held for Secretariat. And how before he died he hoped to see the movie about the great horse. I haven't changed a word of her writing.
There's one thing I want to say. Rachel pays me compliments. The fact is, I only did one thing to help Grandpa Joe achieve his dream. I forwarded her e-mail to my old college friend Bill Nack, who is Secretariat's biographer. The movie is based on his book.
This Nack is some piece of work. You will read here about how he put in a request for the pre-release DVD of the film, and then tracked down Grandpa Joe in the Staten Island phone book and called to say the movie was on the way.
