- Glyn Jones was born on April 27, 1931 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He was an actor and writer, known for Doctor Who (1963), Here Come the Double Deckers! (1970) and Bindle (One of Them Days) (1966). He died on April 2, 2014 in Vamos, Crete, Greece.

Toured with the National Theatre Company in his native country before making his way to London, where he found employment with The Sunday Times, writing plays in his spare time. His plays have been produced in England, Germany and the United States. As an actor, he was best known for playing Krans in the 1974 "Doctor Who" episode "The Sontaran Experiment".
