Jada Pinkett Smith and the late Tupac Shakur's were-they-weren't-they relationship is one that still intrigues fans nearly three decades after his tragic death. On Sept. 20, a week after the 27th anniversary of the rapper's death, Pinkett Smith took a trip down memory lane and posted an old clip of the two on Instagram ironically rapping along to her estranged husband Will Smith's classic '80s hit "Parents Just Don't Understand."
"Not in a million years would I have dreamed that the Fresh Prince and I would become, um, very acquainted," she captioned the video, referring to her husband's rap name. "Not in a million years did I imagine three lives, their fates, would be so intertwined. And… I never would have imagined that this video would become a tangible memory, of the last time Pac and I, were simply kids together. Pac and I lip syncing Parents Just...

As leggy and lithesome flower girl and undercover cop Julie Barnes on ABC’s “The Mod Squad,” Peggy Lipton, who is dead on age 72 from cancer on May 11, became a counter-cultural sex symbol alongside actors Michael Cole as long-haired Pete Cochran and Clarence Williams III as African-American Lincoln Hayes. The catchphrase for the series that lasted five seasons from 1968 to 1973, “One black, one white, one blonde,” might sound corny these days, but it was one of the first network shows to feature an integrated cast that also reflected the times were a-changing by tackling cases with social issues and using the cool jargon of the day.

As often was the case back in the ’60s, Lipton would cash in on her TV popularity by recording a self-titled album in 1968, tackling such tunes as Donovan‘s “Wear...

Twenty years ago today, the world lost one of its strongest voices, Tupac Shakur. To commemorate the anniversary of his death, after an initial teaser, a second red band teaser has been unveiled for his biopic All Eyez On Me. Helmed by Benny Boom (an incredible director name, if I may say so), Eyez is a chronicling of the life and music of one of the most seminal rappers ever to touch the mic.
Newcomer Demetrius Shipp stars as Tupac (and looks an uncanny amount like the late rapper), who grows up seeing a life of police brutality and violence in his neighborhood, and decides to fight back through his music — as well as telling his story by “painting a picture with a pen.” Check out the new teaser below, along with the first poster.

Tupac puts Dan Quayle on blast, talks loyalty with the Notorious B.I.G. and grapples with duty, temptation and violence. It's all in the the intense new trailer for All Eyez on Me, a biopic about the rapper who died 20 years ago today.
The first full clip opens with Pac (played by Demetrius Shipp, Jr.) unleashing a righteous and eerily prescient screed to an adoring crowd: "Police kill innocent black folk every day and Quayle's coming after me? But I'm used to people coming at me. This shit been happening my whole life.

At the end of this 3:45 minute trailer for the short film "Run" starring Jay Z and Beyonce is says it will be "coming never". Rapper/actor Bow Wow is campaigning for a role in the new Tupac Shakur biopic. The young star has taken to Twitter.com to beg director Antoine Fuqua for a part in the upcoming film.
He writes, "I want to play Shock G or be one of the Outlawz in the New 2Pac movie. Mr Antoine Fuqua holla at ya boy... I'm ready." Fuqua is currently casting the film, and recently revealed he's on the hunt for talented unknowns to portray Tupac's ex-girlfriends Jada Pinkett and Kidada Jones.
He's also looking to cast newcomers as Shakur and rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight, who was with the hip-hop superstar when he was shot dead in Las Vegas in 1996.

Looks like this ship is moving full-speed ahead…
We already know Antoine Fuqua is working on a Tupac biopic. We also know that he would like to cast unknowns in several of the starring roles (Tupac, Marion “Suge” Knight, Jada Pinkett and Kidada Jones – both women reportedly will feature very prominently in the film; both women dated Tupac early in his career).
Fuqua said he was prepared to “go to the streets” to find his stars.
Morgan Creek Productions announced today that principal photography is scheduled to begin in late Spring/early Summer on Antoine Fuqua’s long-in-gestation biopic, to be titled, simply, Tupac.
The film will be shot on location in Los Angeles, New York, Georgia and Las Vegas and is currently being cast.
“I am confident that Morgan Creek will stay true to the common goal we share of depicting Tupac’s life in a way that will...

We already know Antoine Fuqua is working on a Tupac biopic. We also know that he would like to cast an unknown in the starring role – a move that I applaud!
I just heard that he is also looking for unknowns to play Jada Pinkett and Kidada Jones (Quincy Jones’ daughter). Both women reportedly will feature very prominently in the film. Both women dated Tupac early in his career.
Also, a newcomer is being sought for Marion “Suge” Knight.
Fuqua said he was prepared to “go to the streets” to find his stars.
The official synopsis for the highly-anticipated film, obtained by MovieHole.net, reads, “The rise and fall of Tupac Shakur is chronicled, from his days attending the Baltimore School of the Arts as a teenager, to his decision to leave his mother’s dead-end life behind and embrace the Thug Life in California, to his wild success as...

Quincy Jones has had a storied life. The iconic musician and producer of musicians has weathered two life-threatening brain aneurysms which altered his musical career. In the seventies, Jones went on to produce Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall," "Thriller," and "Bad," as well as the all-star "We Are the World" to help famine-struck Africa in 1985. Jones has been married three times and has seven children. Once married to the "Mod Squad's" lithe blond, Peggy Lipton, they had two daughters, actresses Kidada Jones and Rashida Jones. Mr. Jones has had a lifetime of many successes. He has composed more than 34 film scores and won more than 26 Grammys, and was nominated for an Oscar seven times.

Forget Daisy Lowe in her velvety boudoir for Anna Sui or Madonna reclining on a chaise lounge for Louis Vuitton, the fashion campaign that’s gotten our attention here at Boxwish is that of Stella McCartney’s. The Brit designer and offspring of some rock star (apparently, he’s a Sir) has unveiled the first look at her Fall/ Winter 2009-10 campaign and it’s a movie homage guaranteed to bring out your inner child for it features characters from 1942 Disney classic Bambi. Yes, as model Sigrid Agren relaxes in the woods of Worcestershire, she is joined by Bambi and his chums, Thumper the rabbit, Flower the skunk and Friend Owl (we think you can guess what he is) along with blue birds, butterflies and other woodland folk. It’s every little girl’s dream come true!
The campaign was shot in April by famed New York photographer Ryan McGinley,...
