Well, here we go again. One of the best superhero content of the current times, The Boys is back with a brand new season and this time it is even more crazier than ever before. Created by Eric Kripke and based on a comic book series of the same name, the superhero dark comedy series follows a group of vigilantes as they go up against morally bankrupt superheroes led by a maniacal Superman-like supe Homelander.
In Season 4 we will see Billy Butcher getting The Boys back together to go up against Homelander and his minions as he doesn’t have much time left after the events of Season 3. The Boys spin-off series Gen V is also going to play a big role in the upcoming season as a supe-killing virus that was introduced in the spin-off series is probably going to be the main MacGuffin of the season.

Possible spoilers for "The Boys" follow.
We now have a new trailer for season 4 of bloody superhero satire "The Boys," and it looks like a full-blown supe-pocalypse is boiling. After the end of "The Boys" season 3, when Homelander (Antony Starr) killed a protestor in front of a crowd and got only cheers, he's no longer content with being a mere celebrity. No, he's reshaping the Seven into "wrathful gods." He's also Congresswoman Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), a head-popping supe and Vice Presidential candidate, in his pocket.
Fans of "The Boys" comics (by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson) might see where this is all going. In "The Boys" volume 11 (issues #60-65), "Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men," Homelander launches a coup against the U.S. government and the Boys go to war to overthrow him. Without spoiling all the twists in between, issue #65 concludes with team leader Billy...

Plot: The surviving member of a family massacred by bandits tries to escape from the killers with her family’s horse.
Review: Studios and production companies will often try to get around marketing their horror releases as straightforward horror movies. This is how we get the term “elevated horror”. It’s a marketer’s way of trying to get across the idea that the horror movie they’re promoting isn’t your average horror movie. This is something special, a movie to be held up above that other trash called horror. Given this aversion to accepting the horror label, it’s surprising to see that Paramount has chosen to market director Michael Patrick Jann’s cleverly titled Organ Trail as a “Horror Western”… because by doing so, they have slapped the horror brand on a movie that I wouldn’t have considered to be a horror movie otherwise.

Talent agency UTA is acquiring the entertainment-focused data and analytics firm MediaHound, expanding its presence in the data side of the entertainment business, and bolstering its research and insights capabilities.
According to UTA partner and head of UTA Iq Joe Kessler, the deal stemmed from a project that UTA was thinking about working on with MediaHound.
“Covid disrupted that project, but we stayed in touch and became increasingly impressed with their technology and team and how it could accelerate our data analytics roadmap,” Kessler tells The Hollywood Reporter. “That led us to where we are today.”
MediaHound’s team of engineers and developers will join UTA as part of its UTA Iq division. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though MediaHound has raised more than 12 million from investors since its founding in 2011, according to CrunchBase. In fact, Kessler says that UTA has...

It’s no surprise that the pandemic changed people’s entertainment viewing habits by accelerating wider adoption of streaming. But a new study by United Talent Agency quantifies that, and also suggests that viewing habits — including subscribing to more streaming services and watching more content — is here to stay.
The study, “Forever Changed: Covid-19’s Lasting Impact on the Entertainment Industry,” was conducted by the agency’s data and analytics division, UTA Iq. It surveyed a nationally representative sample of 1,000 U.S. adults ages 18-54.
Its key findings suggest that consumers plan to watch more TV and movies across more platforms and more genres in their post-pandemic lives, compared to their habits prior to the pandemic. Consumers also expect more diverse storytelling and a more participatory relationship between them and the TV and film and celebrities they admire.

In a post-Covid world, media consumers plan, unsurprisingly, to watch more live sports, but a new study also shows they’ll seek diversity on screen and programming that’s more international, upbeat, educational and participatory that it was pre-pandemic.
In other words much of what people found and liked about media during a year of societal disruption is here to stay, according to a report released today by UTA. The study from its data and analytics division, UTA Iq (called “Forever Changed: Covid-19’s Lasting Impact on the Entertainment Industry”), indicates that consumers plan to tap more content across more platforms and more genres post-pandemic versus pre-pandemic. But as the entertainment pie expands, they also expect some things in return, from more diverse storytelling to a more participatory relationship with content and celebrities.
