Trivia
He worked with German special effects pioneer Eugen Schufftan and helped develop the "Schufftan Process" for special effects.
He and Eugen Schufftan were invited to Hollywood in 1926 where they worked for several years before returning to Germany.
He was responsible to introducing the Schufftan Process to British special effects technicians.
After World War II, he became the chief of the Special Effects Department at DEFA.
