Andy Gibb, who hosted Lachman's TV series
Solid Gold (1980)...until Gibb was dismissed for skipping several tapings) Andy was a very charming, very vulnerable, and very charismatic performer who clearly meant well. He wasn't being difficult; he was experiencing
deep-rooted problems and couldn't deal. Andy wanted *everyone* to
love him. He had so much going on for him, and he just couldn't take it all in.
