Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s Homecoming pay per view, which features a tournament to crown Impact’s King & Queen (of the Ring??) and a highly-anticipated X Division match… which, to be fair, we know Josh Alexander Isn’T going to lose? Why the hell would you take the belt off such an enigmatic and Over wrestler?
Match #1: Homecoming Tournament 1st Round Match – Deonna Purrazzo & Matthew Rehwoldt def. Hernandez & Alisha The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
The Drama King, Matthew Rehwoldt makes his shocking Impact debut and will be the partner of Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo! Hernandez tags into the match and Purrazzo goes toe-to-toe with the big man! Purrazzo almost takes him off his feet with a bicycle kick! Alisha sends Purrazzo to the outside, allowing Hernandez to hit Rehwoldt with a delayed vertical suplex. The pace quickens as Hernandez connects with running senton on Rehwoldt.

Welcome to this very special review of Impact Wrestling’s Sacrifice Pay Per View that I’m calling “The Road To Rebellion”. I’m Nathan Favel and, right here on Nerdly, we’re going to take a look back at several PPVs I failed to review at the time of their occurrence, namely Genesis, No Surrender and Hard To Kill, as well as Sacrifice and the immediate outlook of the major Rebellion event that will be coming soon enough. This article will take a look at the decisions that have been made and why they have or have not worked, as well as what I think has gone right and wrong overall. Also, we have The Hulk. The Hulk: Waaaaaaaalllllllggggggg! Hulk Smash! Hulk Hate Lotion! Make Hulk Hands Slippy! Me: Mr. Hulk…are you ready to help me review the recent history of Impact Wrestling and its road to the Rebellion PPV?...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the big finale before No Surrender, which includes the contract signing between Tommy Dreamer and Rich Swann…a contract signing? Jesus. Wrestling promoters wonder why no one wants to watch wrestling anymore and it’s because of all the damn talking. Silly or serious, talking in wrestling doesn’t draw and never will. Wrestling is not acting, even though there is certainly some performing when you sell moves or have a character that is a bit different from you that you are portraying. You’d think that on an occasion where you are pushing a match of respect between a gracious champion and an honorable challenger, you’d want to tease that the match in question could be in jeopardy. By having a World Title match featuring Swann fighting a challenger...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and f— you. On this week’s show, we continue the build to a PPV that isn’t happening in a league that’s been rebranded with a generic name that no one wanted. Any-way, let’s enjoy Impact Wrestling, because Spousal Abuse Wrestling is not a good name for a wrestling promotion.
Match #1: Josh Alexander w/ Ethan Page def. Eddie Edwards The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Before Eddie Edwards competes against both Tessa Blanchard and Michael Elgin with the World Title on the line at Rebellion, he steps in the ring with one half of the Tag Team Champions, Josh Alexander on Impact! Eddie begins to build momentum with one of his signature dives to the outside. Alexander hits a thunderous spinning slam for two. Both men willingly exchange chops...

We all know that things are rough right now. Times are hard and the uncertainty and worry about the world we live in is just unbelievable. It’s often at times of difficulty that we turn to things that help us to escape for a while, and give us some sort of joy or happiness. Right now, if you’re a wrestling fan, then turning to “The Grapps” is one of those things that will bring that smile and joy we need.
Wrestling has always been a joyous thing in my life. When I broke my back and was laid up unable to move after spinal surgery for weeks… I had the people around me, and I had wrestling to keep me company too. It’s one of those things that really does present an escape, and… as cliche as it tends to be, the whole “putting a smile on...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I look like Jordynne Grace, but with marshmallows in my mouth. We’ve got the final build for Sacrifice, so don’t go anywhere…except the bathroom…and to work…and to your kid’s little league game. Yeah, go to those things, but stay here after those are done for Impact Wrestling.
Match #1: Tjp w/ Fallah Bahh def. Josh Alexander w/ Ethan Page The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Tjp builds momentum with a quick dropkick. Tjp charges into the corner but Alexander counters with a big boot. Alexander connects with a backbreaker for a two count. Alexander is perched on the top with Tjp on his shoulders but Tjp counters into a Cross Armbreaker. Tjp flies over the top with a Corkscrew Plancha. Alexander is enraged as he spins Tjp over his shoulders,...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got some…well, Ken Shamrock is gonna beat a hole in Sami Callihan’s head, so that’s what I’m here for. Okay, let’s get through the crap so we can talk about Ken Shamrock killing Sami Callihan with his rock-hard, old-guy pipes for arms.
Match #1: Rob Van Dam w/ Katie Forbes def. Rhino – Old School Rules Match w/ Tommy Dreamer as Special Referee The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Old School Rules means there are no disqualifications, no countouts and Tommy Dreamer is special referee to ensure there’s a winner. The brawl spills to the outside in the early going. Rhino swings and misses with a clothesline, causing him to wrap his arm around the steel ring post. Rhino puts a choke in with a mop handle.
