Born 1912 in Astoria, Oregon, Armand Lohikoski moved to Finland in 1921
with his parents. Before starting directing he worked in many different
jobs in film industry, including as manager of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's
office in Helsinki.
MGM paid for his trip to Hollywood and he was there six months learning
film making. After that he returned to home and get job as an director
in Suomen Filmiteollisuus company. He directed 18 feature films,
including 9 very popular comedy films.
