Film and theater critic for New York station WNBC-TV (Channel 4),
1992-1993 and 1996-present; was previously film critic for WPIX
(Channel 11) from 1970 to 1991, and for CBS Radio from 1975 to
1993.
His godfather was the playwright Sidney Kingsley and his godmother was the actress Madge Evans.
He studied bullfighting in Spain, touring for seven summers with Antonio Ordonez, first arranged by Ernest Hemingway shortly before Hemingway's death in 1961.
