Maciej Maciejewski was born on October 1, 1914 in Augustów, Poland, Russian Empire [now Augustów, Podlaskie, Poland]. He was an actor, known for A Short Film About Killing (1988), Kanal (1957) and Young Chopin (1952). He died on May 17, 2018 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.
During the war he took part in the September Campaign. During the occupation, he performed at the Puppet and Actor Theater in Grodno, and after returning to Warsaw, he started working at the Sugar Bank.
He was the oldest living male actor in Poland.
For most of his professional life he was associated with the Polish Theater in Warsaw, where he played almost 100 roles.
Maciejewski made his theater debut in 1938 as Janusz in Halka.
