Set among a population of people who are doing time for all kinds of nefarious deeds (not to mention sadistic guards who take pleasure in mistreating the inmates), finding evil in Litchfield Prison is not hard. After finding themselves in maximum security thanks to the riot in season five, the characters in C-Block meet one of the most threatening bad guys of Orange Is the New Black's new season: Carol (Henny Russell). Quiet and menacing, she's a real threat to the newly placed inmates.
Russell has been acting for over 20 years, mostly as a character actor. She's had appearances on Gossip Girl, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Chicago Med.

Good morning!
I am dying over the fact that TMZ calls Samantha Ronson's new house her "ladynest." Wtf is that? She moved to Santa Monica, so Lilo isn't her neighbor anymore.
Sam also seemed very happy to be DJing at the Dalloway's Grand Opening last night.

Have you seen Ellen DeGeneres in the Christmas-themed Jc Penney ad? One Million Moms are so mad about her being a lesbian in it. Because she just is one, and that is enough to upset them. Do they not realize she has a daily TV show? Look how terrible she is, talking about giving and generosity.
Kim Ann Foxman has confirmed that she's left Hercules and Love Affair, saying "relationships change." She said she'll be releasing her second solo single soon and also spoke about how house music is deeply rooted in gay culture,...

Congratulations to Ellen DeGeneres for selling a new TV show to NBC! The untitled single-camera comedy revolves around a “successful, happily independent 32-year-old woman who, as she's about to close on a house, realizes she's listed as "a single woman" and careens into an existential crisis.” Whatever DeGeneres is selling, I'm buying!
Jane Lynch is hoping the organizers of Atlanta Pride will consider changing their kickoff party event location (currently, the Georgia Aquarium). Queerty reports that Lynch wrote a note to the Managing Director of Atlanta Pride that read, "These parties are supposed to be loud and boisterous — it’s a celebration! Justin Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun were at the Tribeca Film Festival on Friday (April 27) to accept the 2012 Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award for disrupting "the traditional gatekeepers of the music industry."
Sporting a varsity jacket when he took the stage, the 18-year-old noted that a lot of what he does is a reflection of his relationship with his fans. "I don't think that I would be here without the Internet. The fans feel connected to me," he said, ABC News reports.
According to The Huffington Post, he recalled his early days of posting videos on YouTube under the moniker KidRauhl and how he was skittish of Braun, initially.
"He called me, and my mom was like, 'Why am I going to trust a guy named Scooter?...

Wyclef Jean is officially out of the running to be Haiti's next president.
Haitian election officials put the kibosh on the musician's bid to lead the troubled island nation, according to The Associated Press.
"Though I disagree with the ruling, I respectfully accept the committee's final decision, and I urge my supporters to do the same," Jean said in a statement. "I want to assure my countrymen that I will continue to work for Haiti's renewal; though the board has determined that I am not a resident of Haiti, home is where the heart is -- and my heart has and will always be in Haiti."

Throughout his career, former Fugees leader has been an outspoken advocate for his homeland.

Wyclef Jean

Wyclef Jean officially announced his bid for the presidency of his native Haiti on Thursday's (August 5) "Larry King Live." Word began to surface last month that he was considering a run for the position. The job comes with a five-year term that would likely keep him out of the music game until 2015.
If news of Jean's political ambitions caught anyone by surprise, they clearly haven't been paying attention to the former Fugees leader's non-musical efforts for the past 15 years.
While Wyclef — who was born outside the country's capital, Port-au-Prince, and raised in Brooklyn, New York — was one of the first celebrities to call for assistance for his Caribbean homeland in the wake of January's devastating earthquake, the 37-year-old has been at the forefront of Haitian relief for much of his career.

Soledad O’Brien brought her girls — Cecelia, 8, and Sofia, 9½ — to the Seventh Annual Wayuu Taya Foundation Gala, held Thursday at the Stephen Weiss Studio in New York City.
The In America host, 43, is also mom to 5½-year-old twin sons Charlie and Jackson with husband Bradley Raymond.
“They are allowed to watch the news, and I watch it with them,” O’Brien tells People Moms & Babies of her work.
“I think it’s only scary when there’s no context. When you’re seven or eight years old and you have no one to question, you need some reassurance.

As he lay in bed, sick with a cold, on Tuesday night, former Fugees member Pras' phone was blowing up with texts, phone calls and messages from friends and family attempting to reach him to discuss the devastating 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday afternoon.
"There's no communication down there," said Pras, who was born in Brooklyn, but whose family is from Haiti. "My mother told me this morning that she still has her mother's brothers and sister, who I've never met, who are still down in Haiti." Like so many of the island's expatriates and foreigners with ties to Haiti, Pras said he's been unable to reach anyone in the quake zone due to the destroyed communications grid.
