Broadway will see a new pop-scored musical opening tonight, April 7, at Brooks Atkinson Theatre in Manhattan. The musical found acclaim at Off-Broadway's New World Stages and then began previews on Broadway on March 17.
The musical stars Constantine Maroulis, finalist from "American Idol," Amy Spanger (The Wedding Singer) and James Carpinello (Saturday Night Fever). Other stars in the company feature Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, Michele Mais, Lauren Molina, Paul Schoeffler, Wesley Taylor and Ericka Hunter.
The musical is backed by onstage band Arsenal and features Henry Aronson as the director/keyboardist, Joel Hoekstra on lead guitar, Jon Weber as drummer, bassist Winston Roye and David Gibbs on guitar. The show was written by Chris D'Arienzo and is produced by Matthew Weaver, Carl Levin, Jeff Davis, Barry Habib, Scott Prisand and Corner Store Fund I.
