He’s been in films such as Monsters, Argo, and the little known film Killing Them Softly alongside Brad Pitt. He’s not the greatest actor or celebrity to ever hit the scene as of yet, but it’s fair to say that he’s still plugging along and just needs the right venue to become a megastar. Here are a few things you

Back in June, Deadline reported that John Marcus "Scoot" McNairy had landed a role in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman. Information about who he is playing has been left up to speculation as some trade reporters have claimed they are "sworn to secrecy" regarding his part. Mysterious! I like it. Is he Nightwing? Is he The Flash? Or, maybe he's just a fart in the wind? We just don't know. Scoot, made a name for himself in the Ben Affleck-directed flick, Argo and even appeared in the Marvel one-shot, All Hail the King. via HenryCavillOrg Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice - Zack Snyder will direct. While you might not know the name Paris Barclay, you almost certainly know his work as a director, especially if the show has been on for more than one season. Barclay has directed episodes for In Treatment, Glee, Weeds, Will & Grace, and The West Wing just to name a small fraction of his output. And Glee fans should note that Barclay directed “Wheels,” one of last season’s most popular episodes.
For his efforts, Barclay has won both Emmys and Directors Guild Awards and been nominated a slew of times. He’s also very much an advocate for Glbt visibility, especially for people of color who are still sorely under-represented at almost every level of Hollywood. Indeed, it was after attending a Television Critics Association panel on diversity in television that AfterElton.com had the chance to catch up with Barclay on his wide ranging career, his thoughts on where...

Joan Cusack has lined up two TV projects, developing a comedy at NBC set in the world of psychiatry and starring opposite Mae Whitman in the Lifetime original movie "Acceptance."
The NBC project, which she is co-creating with the network and Universal Media Studios, will be based on an original idea of Cusack's. John Markus ("The Larry Sanders Show") is serving as writer/executive producer, while Cusack will produce with Julie Yen.
"Acceptance," based on the novel by Susan Coll, is a dramedy that centers on an overachieveing high school student (Whitman) dealing with the stress of her senior year and applying to college. Complicating things is the fact that her parents are splitting up, and her mother (Cusack) is focused on getting her daughter into a top school so she's better able to find a husband.

Emmy-winning writer-producer John Markus has lined up two comedy projects targeted for next fall -- one at the WB Network with producer Kelsey Grammer, and one at NBC. Both shows are produced by Paramount Network Television, where Markus (The Cosby Show) has an overall deal. The Moon at the WB, a co-production with Grammer's Grammnet Prods., centers on five gifted kids from the inner city who are given a chance to get out of the projects, move into a nice house together and attend one of the best high schools in the area. Two mentors, who take the bright youngsters under their wing, become the kids' surrogate parents. At NBC, Markus is developing with Tracey Jackson (The Guru) the comedy Roland Prime, which deals with a wealthy dysfunctional family that owns a high-end steak company. Markus is executive producing, with Jackson serving as co-executive producer.
