J.K. Rowling is now a royal Companion of Honor!
The Harry Potter author was granted the prestigious title by Prince William at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, saying she was "deeply honored and proud" to receive the honor, which is limited to 65 people "of distinction" at any one time.
"To be included in the distinguished and diversely talented company of the other Companions of Honor, especially as a female writer, is a particular privilege," added Rowling, who was honored for her services to literature and philanthropy.
The decoration comes nearly 20.5 years after the U.K. release of the first novel in her best-selling fantasy series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In 2001, she also received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) from His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, for services to children's literature.

Watford star striker Troy Deeney could be heading to the Emirates, according to a report from the Daily Star.
Arsenal, despite sitting top of the table, have suffered from their (seemingly annual) injury woes, and it’s clear that Arsene Wenger finds himself short of attacking options. Olivier Giroud seems to be approaching top form this season, notching a hat-trick in a Champions League group game against Olympiakos, but the Gunners lack a similarly physically imposing backup.
Deeney would certainly fit the bill in terms of physicality, although it remains to be seen whether he’d be able to replicate his current form for a top four side. The Star have reported that Wenger would need to splash out with a bid of around £20 million, given the striker’s recently-signed five year contract.

Relativity Media has brought its pre-bankruptcy grievances with key lender Colbeck Capital back to light, an updated bankruptcy court filing said Friday. A corrected disclosure statement in the studio’s plan to emerge from Chapter 11 formally accused Colbeck, ex-Relativity CFO Andrew Matthews and multicultural division president Matt Alvarez of conspiracy and breach of fiduciary duties — all in an effort to sabotage the company’s hopes to refinance its debt and equity. “Colbeck intentionally diverted sources of equity and debt financing away from the company’s efforts and instead sought to have such sources committed to their clandestine plan,” the documents said.

For Relativity Media, going broke has proven quite expensive — the studio spent $2.4 million on its bankruptcy consultant for the first 30 days after filing for Chapter 11. Fti Consulting, under the leadership of chief restructuring officer Brian Kushner, submitted a breakdown of its fees to New York Bankruptcy Court late Wednesday and the costs are staggering. Kushner himself clocks in at an hourly rate of $1,050. Relativity has laid off roughly 75 employees across departments since entering the bankruptcy process. Several top executives left the company this week, including COO Andrew Matthews and Relativity Sports president Happy Walters. Also Read: Relativity...

Relativity Media has lost more senior executives as founder Ryan Kavanaugh tries to lead the company out of bankruptcy and get unreleased films out of limbo.
More senior executives are leaving Relativity Media as the struggling mini-studio attempts to reorganise and emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
After the departure of Relativity Studios president Tucker Tooley earlier this week, the company said on Tuesday that chief financial officer Andrew Matthews and Relativity Sports president Happy Walters had both had their employment terminated.
Relativity chief operating office Greg Shamo is also leaving the company, according to reports.
Meanwhile, supermarket magnate Ron Burkle, part of the consortium backing Relativity founder Ryan Kavanaugh in his deal to buy the company’s non-tv assets, said he will commit $30m to expand Relativity Sports and become chairman of its board. Burkle described the sports agency division in a statement as “a thriving business.”

Sunderland will face stiff competition from West Ham and Everton in the race to sign Mousa Dembele before the transfer window shuts, according to footgoal.net.
The 28-year-old creative midfielder is out-of-favour at Tottenham and the Black Cats were strongly linked with a move for the Belgian, despite his current side’s determination to hold onto him as a squad player.
However, if Spurs land a new midfielder, that could spark a bidding war for the ex-Fulham man who could be drawn to West Ham if they launched a bid as he could remain in the capital.
This doesn’t necessarily mean Sunderland would be out of the running for Dembele though, as Dick Advocaat worked with him at Az Alkmaar and in the Belgian national team setup. The boss’ links to Jeremain Lens helped snare the Dutch international, so if the Black Cats are to make a bid,...

Newcastle United, Manchester United and Everton are all keeping prying eyes on Manchester City wonderkid Cameron Humphreys.
The Daily Mail claims that the 16-year-old centre-back, who has impressed during Man City’s pre-season tour to Australia, is interesting the Sky Blues’ Premier League rivals – and that both Man Utd and Newcastle are ready to offer the defender a contract once he turns 17.
Formerly of Oldham Athletic’s academy, Humphreys originally became frustrated with life at the Lancashire club and gave up the dream of playing professionally to return to Sunday League football – until Man City tempted him back.
Having started against both Melbourne City and Real Madrid during pre-season, it is clear that Manuel Pellegrini rates Humphreys highly.

Villa are closing in on a loan deal for Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor, according to the Daily Mail.
Tim Sherwood’s side have already tied up a deal for Jordan Ayew following the departure of Christian Benteke to Liverpool and this particular deal could be confirmed this week to cement the Villains’ forward options.
According to the article the Midlands club are confident of the signing despite the striker’s hefty wages (although Villa may not be paying these in full). The deal is reportedly a loan with an option to make the move permanent.
A move for the Togo striker would make a change from some of the younger prospects linked with the club in recent weeks.

Petr Cech has reportedly told Chelsea that he would like to join Arsenal this summer according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
The 33-year-old fell behind Thibaut Courtois last season in the London club’s ‘keeper pecking order, spending much of the campaign on the bench. And with the Belgian proving to be every bit as good as his reputation had suggested, Cech will now have to leave Stamford Bridge in search for first team football.
And there hasn’t been a shortage in the number of clubs reportedly interested in the Czech Republic man’s signature with the likes of Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United both keen. But it looks like London life appeals to the former Rennes man which has to be one of the main reasons behind his apparent desire to move to The Emirates Stadium.

The 2014/15 season is slowly approaching it’s midway point, and the busy Christmas schedule looms. It has been a fascinating opening three and a half months to the campaign, and the battle at the top and bottom begins to heat up by the week. Chelsea look comfortably the strongest side, and it would be hugely surprising if they didn’t win their fourth Premier League title next May, while Manchester City look likely to finish second. The battle for the remaining Champions League spots remain very much up for grabs, while the fight for relegation looks set to involve at least half a dozen teams.
Starring in these sides have been some incredibly influential players, whether it be consistent goalkeepers, defensive leaders, inspirational midfielders or match-winning strikers. They are players who their teams simply couldn’t do without, and when they don’t play, they can often look completely lost.

We as football fans love to think we’re all connoisseurs of the game who can predict the future. We all have our opinions on who the greatest player in the world will be in one, two, five or even 10 years time, or who is going to win the Premier League and Champions League over the next three seasons.
Picking a world eleven is also a favourtie pastime of many, and hours can be spent with friends discussing whether a certain player merits being in the side. But what about the future stars? Those players who are in their early to mid 20s currently, or maybe even their teens. There are some truly remarkable young talents who have emerged in the last few years, and assuming they keep progressing at their current rate, it seems impossible that they won’t be among the...

Former Spurs chairman Alan Sugar has recently stated that he thinks it’s “disgusting” the way that some of the Lilywhites’ players are performing and behaving. The star of BBC show “The Apprentice” has hit out, in particular, at Spurs’ foreign recruits, saying that “I am no football expert but I have been watching the team for God knows how many years and you can see from the body language. We are now a little over two months into the new Premier League season, and it has been a fascinating start to the campaign to date. Southampton and West Ham have both impressed hugely so far, while the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have all struggled hugely to hit top gear. As well as the various impressive team efforts since August, there have also been many outstanding performers on an individual basis. Whether it be reliable goalkeepers, dominant defenders, influential midfielders of lethal strikers, we have seen it in abundance.

Tottenham Hotspur are always the centre of attention when it comes to transfer windows. They attract the craziest of rumours – but that’s probably because they actually usually are very active in the transfer market in January and August. The club are linked with countless incoming transfers and potential sales, as the rumour mill goes crazy around White Hart Lane at every available opportunity.
Of course, very few of the rumours ever turn out to be true – if they were, Spurs would have a squad bigger than the average attendance at their home matches – but, invariably, there are usually several arrivals and departures on the white side of North London in transfer season (this summer, for example, six new players signed, nineteen left the club permanently and eleven left on loan).

Tottenham Hotspur have a very interesting future ahead of them. With a new manager in place, several new signings yet to truly make an impression, more signings undoubtedly to come and – in the long-term – a brand new stadium on the horizon (which may or may not be ready in time for Spurs to move in to before White Hart Lane closes for business), there are all kinds of things to be both apprehensive about and look forward to.
This season has started with mixed success. Mauricio Pochettino opened his Spurs career with two Premier League wins in a row and four wins in a row in all competitions, but the club has since lost three times in the Premier League and drawn a number of games to well and truly bring the honeymoon period to an end.

As heartbreaking as it might be to admit for some Spurs fans (some have been less sympathetic), it may well be time to admit that Roberto Soldado’s time is up at the club.
After arriving in the summer of 2013 from Valencia for a costly £26 million, Soldado was expected to be the twenty-goals-a-season striker the club needed. That didn’t happen – he scored just six Premier League goals in his first campaign, only two of which were from open play – but many people were happy to put that down to needing time to settle and were hoping he’d come out this season with all guns blazing.
That hasn’t happened either. He has yet to score in the Premier League and has managed just two goals in all competitions – having scored against Ael Limassol in the Europa League and against Nottingham Forest in the Capital...

Espn are reporting that Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor thinks Spurs are lacking the killer instinct that is often required to kill teams off in the Premier League and has urged his fellow players to develop one.
Spurs completely dominated their game against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday – with no less than 63% of the possession and 27 shots at goal in comparison to the Black Cats’ 10 – but a late own goal from striker Harry Kane ensured the match ended all square.
Nacer Chadli had given Spurs the lead after just two minutes, only for Adam Johnson to reply for Sunderland a minute later. The teams went in level at half time, but Spurs started the second half in the same way they started the first, with Christian Eriksen scoring two minutes in. However, Kane’s unfortunate error sent the teams home with a share of the spoils.

It’s quite a well-known fact that Tottenham Hotspur are planning on moving to a new stadium.
Spurs have been at their current ground – White Hart Lane – since 1899, following its erection in 1898. While the stadium has obviously undergone some major changes in that time, it is still somewhat lagging behind the country’s major stadiums both in terms of its size and its facilities.
White Hart Lane’s 36,284 capacity is a far cry from the likes of Old Trafford’s 75,635, the Emirates Stadium’s 60,272 and even St James’ Park’s 52,405 and the Stadium of Light’s 48,707 – and that’s unacceptable for an English club who have aspirations to return to and maintain a place in the Champions League.

A statement on Tottenham Hotspur’s official website has explained that, due to issues concerning the land near White Hart Lane on which it is being built, the construction of Spurs’ new stadium is set to be delayed.
The full statement reads as follows:
Further to the Secretary of State confirming the Compulsory Purchase Order in respect of the last remaining land to be acquired for the stadium site, the Club can confirm that the landowners, Archway Sheet Metal Works Ltd and the Josif Family have exercised their right to seek to challenge the Secretary of State’s decision in the High Court. The challenge proceedings will now commence and we await notification of the earliest possible date for the High Court Hearing.
We have already successfully and amicably relocated more than 70 businesses in the area to the satisfaction of all parties...

Spurs defender Vlad Chiriches is confident that his side will pick up all three points when they visit the Stadium of Light to face Gus Poyet’s Sunderland on Saturday.
The Romanian told Spurs’ official website that, although it won’t be easy, he believes the Lilywhites are more than capable of picking up the victory and expects to do so in order to bounce back from the 3-0 loss at home to Liverpool last time out. He had this to say on the matter:
We need to get back on track after Liverpool and I think we can do it. It will be tough, it usually is away from home, but I hope we will be better and win this game. I certainly believe we have the quality to win it.

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club made six new signings in the summer transfer window – left back Ben Davies joined from Swansea City for £10 million, goalkeeper Michel Vorm also joined from Swansea City for £5 million, centre back Eric Dier joined from Sporting Clube de Portugal for £4 million, right back DeAndre Yedlin joined from Seattle Sounders for £2.5 million, centre back Federico Fazio joined from Sevilla for £8 million and centre midfielder Benjamin Stambouli joined from Montpellier for £4.7 million.
Only two of the six have turned out in a Spurs shirt so far – Ben Davies and Eric Dier – with Dier in particular impressing, having given accomplished defensive performances at both centre back and right back and having scored twice in his first two Premier League games against West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers respectively.

It’s almost here.
Footballers will be anxiously awaiting September 23rd as the release date for FIFA 15, as they cast an eye over the judgements that the men in white lab coats down in EA Sports have made about them. Studied and scrutinised for the last year, they aim to file a player down to the finest detail, which usually makes for a lot of dressing-room banter – after all, a video game has the final say. One can’t help but imagine Mario Balotelli not taking too kindly to strike partner Daniel Sturridge inevitably boasting a higher rating than him, following a goal-laden Premier League season.
So, what players have been downgraded? So far, only ten players’ ratings have been released to the public, as FIFA 15 begins its’ countdown, but already there have been some eyebrow-rising decisions. With the World Cup burning so brightly in peoples’ memories,...

Having recently published a similar article about the best English Spurs eleven of the Premier League era, we thought we’d take the logical next step.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have had some great players in the Premier League era and the majority of the ones who spring to mind first aren’t English. Gareth Bale aside, most of Spurs’ real non-English superstars of the last 22 years have come from overseas.
Given that Spurs have actually been very faithful to English players in the Premier League era – much more so than the other clubs who regularly hover around the top six of the Premier League – the fact that the majority of their better players aren’t from England really does highlight the shortage of top class English talent in the modern game and the damage that the huge influx of foreign imports are doing to the English national team.

According to Estadio Deportivo and as reported on Espn, Sevilla president Jose Castro is claiming that Argentinian defender Federico Fazio is still contracted to the La Liga club – in spite of the fact that Tottenham Hotspur unveiled him to the White Hart Lane crowd prior to last night’s 3-0 victory against Ael Limassol in the Europa League qualifying round second leg.
Spurs announced that the central defender had signed a four-year deal at White Hart Lane on Wednesday, prior to his unveiling, and despite Spurs reportedly paying the player’s release clause, Castro says the money has not yet reached his La Liga side.
As of today Fazio is [still] a Sevilla player, because he still has a contract with Sevilla which has not been rescinded. The money has been deposited, but not in the club’s coffers. I do not know what...

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club signed midfielder Paulinho for £17 million from Corinthians last summer.
The Brazilian joined with a big reputation, having won the Confederations Cup with Brazil in 2013 and having been deemed the competition’s third best player.
However, he has yet to really set the Premier League alight or live up to said reputation since signing on at White Hart Lane.
In his first season at the club, he scored six Premier League goals in 28 starts and two additional goals in other competitions – one in the League Cup and one in the Europa League – which is a far cry from the expectations of someone who was dubbed the Premier League’s next Frank Lampard thanks to his box-to-box running and reputation for scoring regularly from midfield.

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have got off to a wonderful start in their first season under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Lilywhites avenged three defeats last season by winning 1-0 at the Boleyn Ground against West Ham United on the opening day, they followed that up with a 2-1 win in Cyprus against Ael Limassol in the Europa League qualifying round and they won their second London derby of the season by hammering former boss Harry Redknapp’s Queens Park Rangers 4-0 at White Hart Lane.
Next up in the Premier League, Spurs face Liverpool, who won their first game 2-1 at home to Southampton, but suffered a 3-1 defeat last night against Manchester City. The reds have quite famously sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona and brought in a plethora of new faces – something quite reminiscent of Spurs last season when Gareth Bale...

The Premier League is fortunate enough to have some of the world’s greatest players plying their trade in it week in, week out, helping cement its place as the most entertaining league in Europe in the process. Sure, the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Gareth Bale may have chosen La Liga, but we can’t really complain, can we? Plenty of money has exchanged hands over the past few months, with interesting new imports aplenty and ready to light up the latest installment of the Premier League. Football Manager remains addictive due to discovering new talents before they make their eventual move to top European competition, but some clubs may have swooped off the radar entirely to land some quality reinforcements.
The step up from other competition to the English top flight can often be sizeable, but the recent World Cup has given a whole host of players the opportunity to bridge the gap between their previous league and arguably Europe’s most intense division. New players have taken steps to becoming household names in England and indeed throughout football in its entirety, with clubs moving to secure the summer’s hottest property before they are snatched away.

Profligate Premier League champions Manchester City have recently tied most of their biggest stars down to new contracts, with captain Vincent Kompany and midfield duo David Silva and Samir Nasri earning bumper new deals. When you put their wages together, the trio take home a combined £520,000-a-week.
Welcome to the wacky world of the Premiership where stars are awarded with heaps of cash for the pleasure of kicking around a bag of air once every weekend (or twice a week if they’re in the Champions League, the poor souls). England’s topflight clubs pay recession-defying, eye-watering figures to their biggest stars, with the division’s biggest earner picking up a pay-packet that could probably rescue a third world country from poverty twice over.
But then, the Premier League has always been about commercial revenue. Since its inception in 1992, the league has gone...

There seems to be widespread consensus that Chelsea are comfortable favourites to take the Premier League trophy at the end of the season. The Blues have a strong squad, bolstered by the addition of key signings Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, while possible rivals Liverpool lost their key player from last season and Arsenal and Manchester United continue to struggle in their rebuilding efforts. Their 3-1 win against Burley last Monday was certainly an impressive and controlled show of intent.
We know what the so-called experts think when it comes to Chelsea’s chances, but we thought we’d turn the question over to you to find out the opinion of the people who really count: the fans.

Chelsea flop Fernando Torres could be about to be shipped out on loan to As Roma as part of an attempt to bring striker Mattia Destro the other way, according to Espn. The Blues are keen on Destro and are reportedly prepared to use Torres as a makeweight in any deal to sign the striker from the Italian side.
Torres, who has scored just 20 in 110 Premier League appearances since completing his £50 million move from Liverpool in 2011, has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the summer arrivals of Diego Costa and former player Didier Drogba. Roma are believed to be interested in rescuing the Spaniard from his nightmare at SW6, providing they can strike an agreement on his £180,000-a-week wages.

Chelsea have had an extremely busy in the transfer window, making some key signings to rectify the squad’s shortcomings last season while also seeing the departure of two of the club’s all-time legends. Despite falling behind to an excellent strike from Scott Arfield, Chelsea produced an authoritative performance in their first match of the new season in taking down Premier League newcomers Burnley. Diego Costa picked up his first competitive goal for the club with simple tap-in following a rebound off the post, Cesc Fabregas produced an outrageously cute assist to provide the second for Andre Schurrle and the club’s right-back-turned-poacher, Branislav Ivanovic, picked up the third from a corner.
Burnley may have been beaten, but by no means shamed themselves with a perfectly competent if occasionally naive performance against a significantly higher level of opposition than they would’ve been used to in the Championship. The campaign ahead looks difficult for them, but if they can match last night’s performance and learn from the experience of playing against top class forwards, there’s...

Twice a year, we enter a fabled period of the football calendar that has recently become known as ‘silly season’. It’s a biannual event that takes place every summer and winter and sees newspapers and gossip rags up and down the country let loose a wild and wacky barrage of transfer gossip unabashed as the market opens up to new football signings.

Chelsea overcame Real Sociedad with little difficulty in the final game of their pre-season ahead of next Monday’s Premier League opener against Burnley. Two goals in a thrilling first ten minutes were enough to ensure victory, both coming courtesy of new striker, Diego Costa, signed for £32m from Atletico Madrid over the summer.
An amusingly over the top introduction to the Chelsea squad for 2014/15 preceded kick-off, complete with pyrotechnics to warm the players up in the billowing rain. The biggest applause was reserved for returning hero Didier Drogba (out with an injury tonight but expected to return soon) and newcomer Costa, who justified his reception with a neatly taken goal within a minute. A precise through ball into the box from Ramires found the naturalised Spaniard, who tucked the ball into the far corner of the onrushing Enaut Zubikarai’s goal.

You will be forgiven for thinking that the loss of Luis Suárez to Barcelona for a gigantic £75 million would be a blow which would cripple Liverpool’s chances of making another convincing run at the Premier League title. It’s very true that the 27-year-old striker was a huge part of Liverpool’s run at the title last season, scoring 31 league goals in just 33 appearances. However, if the leaked player ratings that have just appeared online with Purely Football for FIFA 15 are anything to go by, the Reds stand a great chance of being title contenders in the top tier of English football once more.
Solid performances from nearly every player in Brendan Rodgers’ squad last season have led to a statistical upgrade for most of the Liverpool side. Though the potent strike force of Sturridge and Suárez received much of the praise,...
You will be forgiven for thinking that the loss of Luis Suárez to Barcelona for a gigantic £75 million would be a blow which would cripple Liverpool’s chances of making another convincing run at the Premier League title. When the sun is shining on a hot and beautiful day, there’s nothing better than lounging in the garden with a nice cold beer in your hand, sipping on the suds as the cool condensation trickles down the side of the glass. The two seem to compliment each other perfectly, as reliable and familiar as after work drinks on a Friday evening.
Alcohol has a long and rich history in human culture stretching back as far as we can determine – a ubiquitous presence throughout the centuries, if there’s one thing that humans can be said to love more than anything else it’s a good quaff of booze in its many and varied forms. In fact, so ingrained in our history and culture is alcohol that few people realise just how large a role it has played in shaping the world around us. At the same time,...

Daniel Sturridge has admitted it is a shame to have lost Luis Suarez but he feels he is more than capable of playing the lead role up front this coming season.
Sturridge told The Guardian today: “It was a unique partnership, and I wish Luis all the best. We shared some good times together. We created history with our goals and became the most successful Liverpool partnership in one season.
“But in terms of next season for the goals, I’ll step up myself and everyone has to. It’s everyone’s job to do that, the new boys who have come in as well as the players who have been there all season. We will move forward as a team.”

In the grand scheme of Jose Mourinho’s achievements in world football, if he manages to convince anyone to part with any money at all – whether that’s in terms of a transfer fee or a slither of his unjustly gigantic wages – for Fernando Torres, it would immediately be deemed the greatest moment of his starry career to date.
That is the objective that faces the Portuguese manager, as his club’s transfer policy of buying as many emerging foreign stars as possible – without intention to ever play them in some cases – and the latest decision to bring Didier Drogba back to the club means that the first-team squad has one too many foreign players to comply with the Premier League and Champions League rules relating to the home-grown quota.
Obviously, clubs haven’t yet found a colourful loophole to get round the...

Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has been sensationally linked to a stay in London and joining up with Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road next season.
The veteran Cameroon forward has asked his agent, Claudio Vigorelli, to speak to Qpr representatives over a possible move to the newly promoted club.
If the deal was to go through, Eto’o, 34, who was let go by Mourinho over question marks on his age and fitness, will be eager to continue his career in the Premier league and would even be willing to possibly take a wage reduction in order to complete the deal.
Harry Redknapp notoriously loves to wheel and deal in every transfer window and this signing could be one of his finest if the wage structure is agreed by the owners, especially if Eto’o still has the legs to have an impact in Harry’s team.

Liverpool are closing in on the £20 million signing of Benfica winger Lazar Markovic, according to the BBC, as Reds boss Brendan Rodgers begins to spend some of his £75 million windfall received from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Rodgers has a huge kitty to splash this summer and is close to completing the signing of Markovic, who could be unveiled at Anfield within the next 24 hours. The 20-year-old former Partizan Belgrade player helped Benfica to the Portuguese title last season, scoring five goals.
Markovic would become Rodgers’s fourth summer signing, following in the footsteps of Rickie Lambert, Emre Can and Adam Lallana. Lambert and Lallana have arrived from Southampton for a combined £29 million while Can has joined from Bayer Leverkusen for £10 million.
Liverpool are also keen on Divock Origi, and have reached a deal with the 19-year-old striker’s club Lille. One player who...

With Luis Suarez’s impending move to Barcelona looking increasingly likely to happen before the summer transfer window closes at the end of August, Liverpool look set to find themselves once more flush with the kind of cash that boosted their coffers when Fernando Torres made his own way out of the club. But rather than looking to the North East for a pony-tailed power-house with an extortionate price-tag, it seems that Brendan Rodgers is looking to invest the money early and smartly, by moving to make Lazar Markovic his fourth summer signing.
Hot on the tails of Emre Can, Rickie Lambert, and Adam Lallana, Markovic will complete his move to Anfield this week after a medical, according to Mike Whalley of Espn Fc, who states that the 20-year-old Serbian is “due on Merseyside to put the finishing touches to the transfer” in the “next few days.
