Bob Dylan’s massive Rolling Thunder Revue box set will feature over 100 previously unreleased live recordings taken from the first leg of the musician’s famed 1975 tour. The 14-disc set will be released June 7th via Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings.
Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour took place between 1975 and 1976 and found the musician playing theater shows with little advanced notice. Tagline: "The Closest You Ever Want to Come to Nuclear War is...Threads!" Director: Mick Jackson. Writer: Barry Hines. Cast: Karen Meagher, Reece Dinsdale, David Brierly, Rita May and Nicholas Lane. The original Threads debuted on BBC 2, in 1984. At that time, it was the most popular cable movie to date. In its debut, the film drew over 7 million viewers. The film, from BBC exec' and director Mick Jackson, covered a nuclear exchange between western nations and Russia. The results are truly terrifying. This re-release, through Severn Films, hosts a number of extras, including interviews with the crew. The story itself is a dire look at surviving a nuclear strike. It might be best to succumb to the initial blast. The visuals and the storytelling come across as authentic, thanks to several scientists and consultants. The tone, of the film, is light initially; but, it darkens after the strike. A difficult watch,...

Hey kids! Learn about the great time we’ll be having if the world powers plunge us into a nuclear winter! This post-atomic horror show traumatized England in 1984, and thanks to the liberal media magnate Ted Turner, even saw some airings in the U.S.. The most extreme prime-time response to Ronald Reagan’s heating up of the Cold War standoff, it remains an honest look at a possible grim future, that rubs our noses in the full consequences of a nuclear exchange.

When you pit dinosaur robots against a massive monster made out of gold, you’re better off not taking yourself too seriously. Thankfully, for the most part, the new Power Rangers movie from Saban and Lionsgate embraces its sillier side while still delivering a surprisingly grounded story, gold-eating space witch and all.
What if The Breakfast Club had a lot more on their plates than figuring each other out and writing that essay for Assistant Principal Vernon? That’s the type of approach taken in the new Power Rangers movie, as a group of outcasts in detention band together to form the titular team after finding some glowing, otherworldly goodies at the local mine. And similar to John Hughes’ beloved characters, these teens are much deeper and complex than the stereotypical labels society has placed on them.
The film delivers refreshing new takes on the characters from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series.

You shouldn't judge a whatever by it's whatever, but the title chosen for the 2017 reboot of Power Rangers says quite a bit. It sheds the only slightly more dorky "Mighty Morphin'" of the TV series, positioning itself as another dark and gritty reimagining of something you loved when you were 11. Like that Nsfw James Van Der Beek fan film meets The Breakfast Club. (Or if you loooove corporate entities, go with the full title: Saban's Power Rangers.)
The plot will still be familiar to any '90s kid worth their weight in Dunkaroos: Five teens with attitude stumble upon a set of candy-colored crystal coins buried in a rock quarry and are unwittingly imbued with super powers. (Know what's more unrealistic than a bunch of teen superheroes? Five teenagers just hanging out at a mine.) Shortly thereafter, they meet Zordon in an abandoned spaceship and are tasked with saving the galaxy from Rita Repulsa and her henchmonsters...

Team Rita
Rita said she thought her team was amazing - she has different ages, genres and tones - and reckoned that all eight of her acts could make it in the charts.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Amanda de Cadenet, and Rita Ora met up for a girls' dinner at the Night + Market restaurant, a popular spot for La foodies, last night. Amanda shared a snap from the dinner on Instagram, writing, "Two tired mamas and the delicious Rita Ora at our local Thai." Meanwhile, Rita, who is currently staying on the West Coast with her boyfriend, Calvin Harris, tweeted about the meeting, saying it was "gonna be a Big one." A fellow diner tells Popsugar that they saw the trio share larb and other Thai street food dishes while talking about everything from motorcycles to motherhood. The source added, "Rita was first to arrive and Gwyneth second - Gwyneth rushed over to greet her with a big hug, and once Amanda arrived, the three shared lots of laughs and high-fives over their meal." While the meeting between Gwyneth and Rita may seem a bit surprising,...

While Rita often catches flack for trying to dress like RiRi, this time around it looks like Rihanna was totally inspired by Rita! Who rocked the metallic look better? Vote.
Rita Ora, 22, and Rihanna, 25, seem to be on the same page. In fact, both singers have stepped out in silver metallic outfits and visors. First Rita in two different looks earlier in July and now Rihanna in Norway on July 24 — but who do You think wore it better? The girls are compared to each other a lot but this time the looks are uncanny.
Rita Ora’s Metallic Outfit:
Usually it seems as though Rita takes her fashion cues from Rihanna, but this time Rita had the look first. Have the tables turned and is Rihanna copying Rita? On July 10 Rita stepped out in a metallic silver skirt and jacket with matching metallic silver heels for an all-out futuristic look...

In this taut play, a man is on his deathbed while his wife anticipates his demise. Their adult children have a vicious fight. The son gets beaten badly and the daughter falls off the wagon.
"The Lyons" is a comedy.
And an insightful, truly excellent one.
Linda Lavin ("Alice") is Rita, a savvy woman who leafs through "House Beautiful," looking for decorating tips and chatting to her husband. She reels off old stories about neighbors until he explodes. "What the f*** are you talking about?" Ben (Dick Latessa, Broadway's "Hairspray" TV's "The Good Wife") screams in his opening line.
Unflappable, Rita explains she must redo their tacky living room where the "chairs are the color of disgust and the carpet is matted down with resignation."
When Ben says, "I'm dying, Rita," she responds, "I know, but try to be positive."
Playwright Nicky Silver delivers one perfect line after another. When...

Sky One’s ambitious 2011 continues to throw out original programming after the huge success that was Mad Dogs. Trollied is of a different mould altogether, but a statement of Sky One’s intent to push their own shows none the less. The problem is with original programming is that sometimes it just isn’t original enough.
After seeing the seemingly endless amount of adverts attempting to woo me and the rest of the nation over to Sky One on a Thursday night for their supermarket sitcom Trollied, last night I caved in. Partly due to a slow night on the box once Id watched the bore of a Spurs vs. Hearts match.
So Trollied…. A group of people work in a fictional supermarket. A few decent TV names such as Jane Horrocks as Deputy Manager Julie, Mark Addy as butcher Andy and the oddly camp Jason Watkins off of Psychoville playing the Store Manager Gavin.

Julie Benz' character Rita may have died one of the most gruesome deaths in recent television memory, but count on a Dexter character to jump out of a rut and into something possibly even more gruesome - Wisteria Lane. Do I hear yikes?
Benz, 37, who abruptly departed the Showtime series on its fourth season closer, was cast in a recurring role on Desperate Housewives. She'll play Debbie, a stripper with a heart of gold and a Masters degree in education, whom Susan (Teri Hatcher) offers a chance to transition into a more legitimate and maybe less sparsely dressed career. Deb, of course, jumps at the opportunity.

Coronation Street veteran Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey) moves away from the cobbles and in with his lady friend during tonight's episode of the Weatherfield soap. A few weeks ago, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) finally accepted that Connie (Rita May) wasn't befriending Jack for his money when he discovered that she was a millionairess herself. However, as Jack continued to feel a hindrance in Tyrone and Molly's (Vicky Binns) marital home, he decided to look for a new place to live. Coronation Street star Rita May has revealed that she feels a close affinity with her character Connie Rathbone. The actress joined the cast of the ITV1 soap last month and her alter-ego has since been seen sharing stories of loss and bereavement with widower Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey).
