A Man who lost his job and then ploughed his redundancy payment into creating a comic has won a top award.
Gordon Mclean's No More Heroes has picked up the trophy for Best Comic at the Scottish Independent Comic Book Awards.
The presentations were held as part of Glasgow Comic Con last weekend.
The four-part miniseries (with issue 3 coming out next month) centres on about the suspicious death of the world's greatest superhero and his sidekick's search for the truth.
Gordon Mclean invested his redundancy pay-out into fulfilling his dream of being a comic creator, with the help of artist Caio Oliveira. The comic book's unusual origins have attracted a lot of attention since its March debut.
