This Past Weekend:
As expected, Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island won the weekend, and honestly, the Weekend Warrior’s original prediction of $61.6 million was pretty darn close to the movie’s opening weekend which ended up at $61 million. (Unfortunately, I chickened out on Thursday because my prediction was so much higher than all others and lowered it to $58 million, which was Still closer to than every other prediction last weekend.) Also, as expected (at least by me), Hugh Jackman’s Logan took a 2nd weekend tumble as has been the case with most X-Men movies,...

I've been hearing nothing but great things about this movie from people who I know who have seen it. I have yet to see if for myself, but judging from the buzz spreading, it's going to deliver some insanely blood-soaked entertainment.
We have a red-band clip for you to watch today called "All In My Mind," and it gives you a little tease of the messed-up and disturbing violence that I've heard this film is filled with. It focuses on Sean Gunn's character in the middle of a crazy shootout that he doesn't want to believe is really happening. Check it out:
The Belko Experiment explores a twisted social experiment "in which a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata and ordered by an unknown voice on an intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed. It’s not...

Nathan Fillion, Linda Cardellini, Gregg Henry and Michael Rooker have all joined the cast of James Gunn's "Super", a comedic twist on the superhero genre for This is That, Ambush Entertainment and HanWay Films.
Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler, and Kevin Bacon have already been cast in the project about Frank (Wilson), a seemingly average guy who is madly in love with his troubled wife Sarah (Tyler). But when Sarah leaves Frank for Jacques (Bacon), a smooth-talking drug dealer, Frank transforms into pseudo superhero The Crimson Bolt, stakes out Jacques sleazy hideaway, and wages a one-man war on crime.
What he lacks in superpowers, he makes up for with a trusty pipe wrench. Every superhero needs a sidekick and so enters Libby (Page), a cute sociopathic teen working at the local comic book store, who morphs into ‘Boltie’ and teams with Frank to take Jacques down.

For his upcoming comedic venture into the superhero genre, aptly titled Super, writer/director James Gunn has already gathered quite an impressive cast featuring the likes of Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler and even Kevin Bacon as a villainous, smooth-talking drug dealer. These are people I like and admire but with whom ...

James Gunn seems to be digging the web series world these days. The Scooby-Doo screenwriter is following up on his successful porn flick satire series PG Porn, with the release today of an even racier series, Humanzee! The offbeat scripted comedy was shot back in 2008 and was planned to head to XBox Live, until someone over at Microsoft pulled the plug due to content concerns. Did they really not know what they signed up for when tapping Gunn? First off, we have to throw out the Nsfw warning on the first episode (above), mostly for f-bombs, not nudity. The show itself feels like a live action cartoon sitcom, complete with a laugh track pushing us through the quick setups and reversals. Gunn's description of what it's about is just too good to paraphrase: Humanzee! is the story of myself and my human-chimp hybrid son, appropriately named "Humanzee" (played by my brother,...
