An independent filmmaker specializing in animation and personal short
films and videos. Deanna Morse's works have been screened
internationally and are represented in permanent collections including
the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC.
Her diverse award-winning films have been broadcast on Sesame Street, featured in film festivals, and used in classrooms.
A writer and educator, she has judged over three dozen international film festivals and competitions, served on numerous grant panels, and has been a guest artist and artist in residence in national parks and artist colonies internationally.
She worked on NOVA, ZOOM, Sesame Street, and was an artist in residence for four years at the South Carolina Arts Commission prior to moving to college teaching. She is a Professor of Film/Video Production in the School of Communications, Grand Valley State University, Michigan.
She is on the filmmaker's advisory board for the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the International Board of ASIFA (formerly as a Vice-President).
