Luckily for me Iceland appears to have appeased the fire gods. Air travel to Europe from Toronto resumed in full on Wednesday, just in time for me to hop on a plane to Estonia, where I am currently attending the Haapsalu Fantastic Film Festival - the weekend long horror series backed by the organizers of the Tallinn Black Nights festival.
Things kicked off in earnest last night with about a hundred and fifty local residents getting undead and roaming the streets of this small town - apparently a favorite spa retreat of the Russian Czars at one point - before ending up at the ruins of a Middle Ages castle - pictured above - for an outdoor screening of local short film Wanderer by Robi Uppin and French zombie action horror The Horde.
