Baldassarre Negroni was born on January 21, 1877 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. He was a director and production manager, known for Due cuori felici (1932), Camille (1915) and Vertigine (1919). He was married to Hesperia. He died on July 18, 1948 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
He was an Italian filmmaker active mainly in the silent era , and among the greatest of his time.
In partnership with the lawyer Gioacchino Mecheri and the Marquis Alberto Del Gallo di Roccagiovane founded the film production company Celio Film of which he was artistic director and principal director.
In 1912 he was hired by the Cines production company , where he first worked as a cameraman and then made his debut with the short film Primo bisticcio.
Coming from an aristocratic Roman family of counts of Ligurian origin, he graduated in law , and practiced the profession of lawyer for a few years .
He was married from 1923 to the actress Hesperia whom he directed in many films.
