Television personality Leeza Gibbons recently participated in the planting of 100 trees at Beverly Hills' Coldwater Canyon Park to counteract the carbon footprint imprinted by each guest at her yearly Oscar viewing party "A Night to Make a Difference". The April 16 event was held in cooperation with environmental nonprofits Environmental Media Association (Ema) and Tree People.
With the planting of trees native to Southern California, Leeza met both a promise to offset carbon emissions and to continue her fundraising contributions to local nonprofit organizations. Through the efforts of the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and extensive celebrity involvement, numerous groundbreaking charities have received critical financial support.
