Gilmore Girls made many friends behind the scenes in Stars Hollow. It’s clear Scott Patterson still hangs out with Sean Gunn, since Gunn is a regular guest on his podcast. Patterson seems to have remained close with Lauren Graham, too. Guest star John Cabrera made lifelong friends on Gilmore Girls too. One of his three closest co-stars is Hep Alien bandmate Sebastian Bach!

Cabrera was a guest on Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on May 18. When Patterson asked who he still keeps in touch with, Cabrera included Bach. Find out who else Cabrera remained friends with below.

Gilmore Girls was famous for being letter perfect with Amy Sherman-Palladino’s scripts. New actors had to learn to deliver the lines fast, and they couldn’t change a thing. For the series regulars, that meant a lot of memorization every week, but they knew the rules. Jason Kravits stepped in it his very first take as Dwight.

Dwight was only in one episode, but he appeared on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In on May 13 to discuss it. Kravits told Patterson the very familiar story of a Gilmore Girls guest star who had to be schooled in the Sherman-Palladino way.

Milo Ventimiglia was already a heartthrob on Gilmore Girls. The role of Jess began the legacy of heartthrobs like Peter Petrelli and Jack Pearson. One of Jess’s Gilmore Girls love interests was Shane (Jessica Kiper). Kiper recalls Ventimiglia bringing her to a church when they were filming.

Kiper was a guest on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on April 15 to discuss her role on Gilmore Girls. Patterson asked for “Milo stories” and she obliged. Boy howdy, did she oblige!

On Gilmore Girls, Jess and Shane make out at the Stars Hollow End of Summer Madness festival. In real life, Ventimiglia was more reserved.
“One day on set, and I don’t think it was my first day, it could’ve been, it’s all a blur,” Kiper said on I Am All In.

Gilmore Girls created a town full of memorable characters in Stars Hollow. Decades later, many of those supporting characters are getting their due in revisits. David Gruber Allen played Stars Hollow’s Second Troubadour in four episodes. For his debut, Allen wanted Second Troubadour to cover a Grateful Dead song on Gilmore Girls. That song was in turn a cover itself, but legalities prevented it.

Allen appeared on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on Feb. 23, 2022 to discuss his recurring role on Gilmore Girls. Allen revealed the song he pitched the Gilmore Girls producers and why they said no.

Gilmore Girls got seven seasons out of Lorelai (Lauren Graham)’s relationships. Fans may have hoped she’d settle down sooner, but then the show would’ve been over. This kept Scott Patterson employed as Luke, too. Now that Patterson is rewatching the show, by season 4 he’s got some thoughts on Lorelai.
Patterson answered listener questions on the Feb. 22 episode of his I Am All In podcast. When listeners asked him to weigh in on Lorelai’s personality as of season 4, Patterson had some thoughts.
Lorelai’s major ‘Gilmore Girls’ flaws are her blind spots
Patterson didn’t watch Gilmore Girls while it was on because he was too busy memorizing his lines each week. Now that he sees it all in context, he can analyze Lorelai’s personality.
“Major flaws, I think, are just sort of there’s kind of a lack of self-knowledge,” Patterson said on I Am All In.

When she joined the cast of Gilmore Girls, Tricia O’Kelley knew she wasn’t the heroine. As Nicole Leahy, O’Kelley knew she was there to stand in between Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham). Still, she apparently needed direction. O’Kelley remembers getting the notes to make Nicole less likable.

O’Kelley was a guest on Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on July 13. Reminiscing about their episodes together, Patterson was not aware of the notes O’Kelley received about her performance.

Gilmore Girls had a little of everything. It had comedy, drama, romance. Gilmore Girls even introduced the band Hep Alien. Sebastian Bach played Gil, the band’s guitarist. John Cabrera played bassist Brian Fuller, but that’s not the role in which Cabrera originally thought Gilmore Girls would cast him.

On Gilmore Girls, Tricia O’Kelley played Nicole Leahy, Luke (Scott Patterson)’s season 3 love interest. Obviously, Luke and Nicole were not meant to be. Luke and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) were the long term romance of the show. But, while it lasted, Nicole had red hair. O’Kelley reveals this was entirely due to a show she was on prior to Gilmore Girls that got canceled.

O’Kelley was a guest on Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on July 13. They reminisced about their Gilmore Girls scenes. She explained how Nicole’s red hair came from her previous show, That Was Then. It lasted another year while she was on Gilmore Girls.

That Was Then was one of two time travel shows to premiere in the 2002 season. Neither that nor Do Over lasted an entire season.

Scott Patterson has a bone to pick with "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. On the Aug. 24 episode of his "I Am All In" rewatch podcast, the actor recounted an objectifying scene that made him feel "really embarrassed" while filming nearly 20 years ago. The scene in question unfolds during the 19th episode of season three; while Patterson's Luke Danes fixes a stove in the Dragonfly Inn kitchen, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) discuss his butt at length after the latter accidentally rests her hand on it. They repeatedly comment on and joke about Luke's backside until the diner owner leaves the inn.
"I realized it wasn't Ok, and it didn't make me feel comfortable at all," Patterson said on his podcast. "It made me feel really embarrassed, actually. It's infuriating to be treated that way because you're being treated like an object. It's disturbing, and it's disgusting. And I...

Scott Patterson, known for playing diner owner Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls, is opening up about a day that he didn’t enjoy while on the set of the popular series.

Max!” that aired in April 2003. Specifically, the actor focused on a scene from the Warner Bros.-backed program in which Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her co-worker Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy) continually discuss Luke’s butt after Sookie accidentally puts her hand on his backside.

Ok, there is such a thing as too much trauma.
It's customary for series, especially Shondaland ones, to treat trauma and drama as if they're mutually exclusive, but they are not.
And when you get final moments like that of Station 19 Season 5 Episode 14, your heart sinks to the pit of your stomach for a plethora of reasons, and it makes you wonder how much trauma can one character endure and why that is the primary source of entertainment?
But first, we'll get into some of the other messiness of the hour.
It's becoming a bit of a pattern where the installment was light on firefighting, outside of that one call with the woman and her kids, and heavy on personal arcs and intercharacter drama and conflict.
After an endless stream of back and forth, so much that it made what was once an endearing couple insufferable and a lovable character positively loathsome,...

Though some might argue Brandi Glanville does a fair share of acting on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," the 40-year-old is making her real acting debut in the upcoming Lifetime movie, "Missing at 17."
Based on a true story, the film tells the tale of a 17-year-old girl who runs away from home in the hopes of finding her biological mother. When she doesn't return after 24 hours, her adopted mother goes on a frantic search to find her.
In the movie, Glanville plays Erica, a woman who works with the adopted mom, Shawna (Tricia O'Kelley). In the above clip, Erica doesn't have much sympathy for Shawna's search for her daughter after the makeup artist mom leaves her hanging at a gig.
"Missing at 17" premieres on Lifetime on Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. Et. Meanwhile, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" premieres on Nov. 4 at 9 p.m. Et on Bravo.

A bizarre case of a dognapping has come to a happy ending. Walter, an 11-year-old miniature Yorkshire terrier belonging to actress Tricia O'Kelley, has been returned home safely.
The situation began earlier this week when O'Kelley, an actress known for roles on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine," found that Walter had gone missing. It only got stranger when a man called on Thursday (May 16), demanding a ransom for the dog's return.
O'Kelley and her husband did agree to pay $1000 and were planning to meet the dognapper -- bringing along a police officer -- but the man backed out at the last minute. Turning next to social media, the worried owners reached out to anyone who might have seen Walter.

Tricia O'Kelley, best known as Camille on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and Mary Ehrhardt on "The New Adventures of Old Christine," is desperate for the return of her 11-year-old Miniature Yorkshire Terrier, Walter.

Late Thursday night (May 16), Tricia received a phone call from the man who has her dog. TV's pilot season is starting to wind down, but a few final pieces of casting are taking place, including a changeup in Roseanne Barr's NBC comedy and CBS finding the the final lead for its comedy "Super Fun Night."
- Tricia O'Kelley, who played mean mom Marly Eckhardt on "The New Adventures of Old Christine," has joined the cast of "Downwardly Mobile," Barr's comedy pilot set at mobile home park. She replaces Salli Richardson ("Eureka"), who according to Deadline "could not sync up" with the other actors when the pilot had a run-through last week.

Sadly, Bee Gee Robin Gibb has been confirmed to be in a coma in London. It's sad, but also strange, with Glee going disco this week. They had that oddly timed Whitney Houston song as well. Does anyone have the whereabouts of Ryan Murphy?
Ithacapella, Premium Blend, and Ic Voice Stream got together to do a a capella cover of "Born This Way" with the proceeds going to The Ali Forney Center and the Born This Way Foundation. You can find out more about the project here, and buy the song on iTunes here.
The Hunger Games seems to be tracking to win the box office again this weekend, taking in an estimated $20 million. I'm hoping this means I can get a ticket by my next day off. The Three Stooges is heading for $17 million, and Joss Whedon's The Cabin In the Woods is drawing $13 million.

Eureka alumna Salli Richardson is reportedly out as the high-society wife of a Ponzi-scheming hedge-funder in Roseanne Barr's new project for NBC. Deadline says she will be replaced by Tricia O'Kelley, previously on The New Adventures of Old Christine. Apparently, Richardson, a stage veteran, had trouble adjusting to a multi-camera comedy format. In 2009, both Southland and Medium were cancelled by NBC but were then saved by other networks. Three long-running shows were recently cancelled last month and it looked like each had a good shot of being saved as well.
A couple weeks later, Law & Order and Ghost Whisperer have been denied a second chance and now, The New Adventures of Old Christine has as well.

Others in the cast include Hamish Linklater, Wanda Sykes, Trevor Gagnon, Clark Gregg, Emily Rutherfurd, Tricia O'Kelley, and Alex Kapp Horner.

There's definitely not a shortage of romantic comedies out there - every year there is a slew that hits theaters with big names and high concepts. Most of the time it's a journey for a young woman (or a not-so-young woman) in finally getting her life together and falling in love with the most unlikely of men. There's also no short of indie comedies with quirky sensibilities. Strangely enough, Weather Girl fits into both categories without fully fitting into either. Headstrong Sylvia (Tricia O'Kelley) loses it on-screen during her Wacky Weather Girl segment after finding her co-worker Sherry's (Kaitlin Olson) panties in her live-in boyfriend and fellow colleague's (Mark Harmon) dressing room. Unhirable in her profession, she is forced to start over by crashing with her brother and waiting tables until she...
